He did a weird Egg Fast + Butter thing.
Sounds like a really good idea.
But it would never work for me.

The flatulent eggbound consequences would result in a rapid divorce...
Thanks B :) There was talk of egg fasting on the ibreatheimbungry blog. Sounds good. Might take another look in the new year.

Hi Guys,

Eggs seem popular here.
Do folks take care only to eat 3 or 4 a week, or doesn't it matter?

I don't suppose anyone still has the cauliflower based pizza recipe?
Thank you!

Hi,
Eggs are like the flavour of the month, at the moment on Low Carb diets, it can be 3 to 4 a day, and seems to do no damage,

Only wondered, Randburg, as I have high lipid levels so am usually cautious about having too many.
Any other "flavours of the month" you can recommend?
Thanks for your reply.

Why don't you have a Google round about dietary cholesterol and lipids? Our bodies make their own cholesterol. Cholesterol from food is only a small percentage of the cholesterol in our bodies, and the benefits of eggs far outweigh any dangers. Look at the lipids in my signature, which get better and better on each test I have (no statins), and my egg consumption is humungous.

Are you Low Carb at all?
I went that route and have lost weight, brought my Blood Glucose Levels Down and feel great.
Initially my Lipids did increase to Total 5.5, but are back last week to 4.4, about 3 weeks ago.
I am not really High Fat, but eat Eggs almost Daily.
Look in The Low Carb Forums there are lots of ideas

I'm confused by this phrase "flavour of the month"

That flamin annoying song from Frozen is an example of "flavour of the month"

Eggs have been popular forever! :chicken::D

Thanks Randberg, just starting the HFLC plan.
And Bluetit, when did you say I could come and stay for a couple of months?!!
Could do with being fed and not making any decisions!!!

breakfast gammon steak as it was going out of date, poached egg, tomato, mushrooms
lunch tuna mayo and feta salad, 1sq Lindt 85%, nicked a few crisps out of Mr E's bag
dinner lamb done in slow cooker with bit of redcurrant jelly and rosemary, cheesy cauli mash, green beans and one lonely chatenay carrot- can you tell someone is using up the waifs and strays in the fridge?

Drat.
You've reminded me about the Sordid Backlog in the chiller drawer of the fridge.

We were going to have scram eggs with smoked salmon and salad for tea.
Now it looks like it'll be scram eggs, salmon and elderly beans.
Plus strawbsncream (mr B will be inhaling a Heston toffee apple steamed pud thing. I'm not at all jealous :bigtears:)

Brekkie was breakfast balls. Then coffee with cream.
Lunch was chicken with assorted greenery, butter and cheese, and a co yo (no longer on offer, so I'm eating less of them :()
Snack was a karg cracker  with butter cheese and marmite

Hehe :D I used up the waifs and strays today too to make soup. Everything in the pool!

Brunch: leftover chickpea curry and cauliflower rice.

Snack: peanuts

Dinner: cream of random veg and chipotle soup. Psyllium husk roll with melted cheese.

Anyone know of a low carb barbecue sauce?
Ideally, I would prefer to make my own (fewer chemicals!) but would happily buy if it is nice.

I don't even mind if it isn't actually a barbecue flavour, just so long as it has that same level of flavour intensity, impact and addability. I used to use each of Reggae Reggae sauce, barbecue sauce and a mirin/soy sauce combo, but they are all too sweet nowadays. :(

I probably didn't explain that very well.

reading of 6.1 on the BS monitor tonight, so for tea I had..............
2 x Chicken breasts fried in Whole cummin flavoured butter with shredded lettuce and carrot mix, 1/3rd of a carton of natural yoghurt flavoured with Cayenne pepper and a drizzle of lemon juice over the chicken. As good as any Indian Takeaway.

B: porridge made with unsweetened almond milk and a good dash of double cream
2 x coffee with cream
L: have a lovely pork belly in the fridge, will be having that with veggies
D: not sure, might just have a snack later

Hard a lovely nap this afternoon, but woke up having slept through lunchtime, and bg at 3.4! Rather shakey, so I had 3 glucose tablets and some porridge, yoghurt, berries and cream.

Just had evening meal as the pork belly took 21/2 hours to cook :-/ twas worth the wait though! Stuffed now!

Can't say that it does really. I only have a small slice now and then. I didn't test today as out but think last time I was at 6 after two hrs and I'd been in high fives pre breakfast.
I get good readings with black pudding, I get mine from the 99p shop & it's good stuff, get my black olives from there also.

Black pudding with cheese grilled on top of it is one of life's peak experiences.
