@Avocado Sevenfold, I've lost all excess weight without even trying to lose (now trying to maintain weight as I seem to lose more) after avoiding dairy. I haven't quit nuts though. One week into the "Avocado's sort of 5:2 not fasting or counting calories, but avoiding dairy and nuts - apart from coconuts because I keep forgetting they're nuts diet" (patent pending). It seems to have shocked my metabolism as I have lost 5 poundsMight have been a fluke, but I'll keep doing it this month and see how it goes. Mondays and Thursdays, so today was a "diet" day.
B: plain three egg omelette
L: celery and celeriac soup
D: veg and chickpea curry on bean sprouts fried in coconut oil
I live in the ME so not likely to get it till I get home, but it sounds fantastic... This pud is breakfast for me, handful of seeds, strawberries and blueberries, lush... http://www.popsugar.com/fitness/Chia-Pudding-Recipe-34333463Anyone tried this bread? 3.8g per slice is amazing.

What are breakfast balls? If I eat any 9Bar my numbers go sky-high... I made tinned red salmon fish cakes... Mashed steamed cauliflower, the salmon, onion and garlic powder, fish sauce, a little soy sauce, ground cumin, coriander, ginger and chilli... Made into little patties and fried quickly in coconut oil. Yummy, especially when dipped in chilli tomato ketchup, which I know it's naughty, but only a littleI'm back at work after Pupternity which is, sad to say, better for my exercise levels, food intake and water intake.
This disappoints me, and crushes my fond fantasy that, if I wasn't working, I would be fit, active, eating fabulously and drinking the right amount.
Humph.
So, today:
B: 9bar and coffee with cream
L: broccoli bits, baby corn, hummus, taramasalata and some cheese that was left in the work kitchen with a label saying 'Help Yourself!' So I did.Brie, Red Leicester with spring onion and the white one with cranberry.
S: 2 sq gd choc
D: breakfast balls in a slab cos that's easier to cook. And about to have berriesncream.
And I've actually drunk enough! Any excuse to leave my desk, eh?
Why did you avoid dairy to begin with? How do you manage without cheese?!@Avocado Sevenfold, I've lost all excess weight without even trying to lose (now trying to maintain weight as I seem to lose more) after avoiding dairy. I haven't quit nuts though.
DecadentB: whole tin of sardines & butter on almond/cheese bread & tomatoes, all warmed up. (John West sardines, Xmas present, no backbones, no skin, very posh)
L: cold beef & mixed leaf salad, celery, tomatoes, cheese, dressing (olive oil, cider vinegar, xylitol. lemon juice)(I bought processed beef in mistake for corned beef. The processed has corn starch and sugar in it :***: Why must they muck it about?)
D: chicken tagine, mashed cauli in lemon juice, green beans, few sweetcorn.
S (or late dessert): choc & coconut cheesecake & double cream, in the bath, with decaff coffee.

I like leftovers, I feel as though I'm not struggling so much if I have stuff in the fridge.... Mind you, I probably eat more that way

Ooh, poor thing! Denied the 9bar!
These are my breakfast balls (basically cheesy meatloaf, in blobs). Love em. I make them in batches, with the intention to freeze. But they've never lasted long enough to make it into the freezer yet...
@Susikav, I sometimes eat small quantities but not a lot because I do get reflux/acid...And I'm also lactose intolerant. Why did you avoid dairy to begin with? How do you manage without cheese?!
I have also made soup for the first day back tomorrowI am going to be so popular when I open my flask of questionable, stinky green soup
Brunch: two Quorn sausages, two fried eggs
Dinner: chickpea and mixed veg curry. Got pineapple jelly and banana whipped cream for later.
My mum convinced me that if I boiled an onion for an hour then drank the water, it would cure my cough. Tried it. She must really hate me
That looks yummy. Will have to add the ingredients to my shopping list.
