My FBG was higher than usual today (6.8) so I reduced my carbs a bit more, I usually do moderate carbs.

Breakfast: 1 weetabix with semi skimmed milk and a handful of raspberries, cup of tea

Lunch: Open sandwich with cheese, mayo and LOTS of salad, 1 tbsp soya nuts and an apple. Cup of tea

Dinner: Cheese and onion omelette with even more salad, square of 85% dark chocolate afterwards. Plus of course the obligatory cup of tea

I treated myself afterwards, I made a traditional apple crumble for my son but I made myself the low carb one using ground almonds instead of flour. Added bonus - my son didn't even notice I used sweetener to stew the apples! Result!!

Two sausages and scrambled egg. Coffee

Nut ball and coffee.

Homemade lean hamburger with cheese in lettuce wrap.

Ham and cream cheese salad with veg.

Strawberries and cream with a cup of tea.

No exercise today so it'll be interesting to see fasting BG xxx

sounds lovely actually. I would miss the sugar out though.

Sugar? There's only a few drops of agave syrup and split over thirty balls is almost negligible. They are lovely x

Dunno. I blitzed it until it looked like wet sand. I didn't put coconut in it ...should I?

Yoghurt with berries and 25g mixed nuts. (12g carb)

Vegetable and ricotta frittata with salad and butternut squash chips with garlic and parsley salt. (13g carbs)

Zucchini "spaghetti" with green veg, meat free bacon (2 rashes) creme fraiche pesto and 30g cheddar. (16g carb)

1 square (12g) 81% chocolate (2.7g carb)

43.7g carb overall today so slightly over my target. Probably shouldn't have had the chocolate...but it IS Friday.

Also, did a 12 mile interval run circuit pushing little one in buggy - sugars were 5.5 when we went out and were 16 while out - had to used temp basal increase at 150% AND bolus 3 times to come down - is this normal?

No you don't have to have coconut in there - maybe you needed slightly more coconut oil? Too heavy handed with cocoa powder? They're my staple snack at the mo but tomorrow is cheesecake day

Hi

You may get a response to your basal question on this thread, but I recommend you hop over to the fitness exercise and sport section of the forum. Lots of info there, and some very experienced runners who will be able to help you out.
