The next morning blood sugar is 4.5. Before it would be on the 6s.
Experimenting by including the "bad carbs". Had control over the ingredients, didn't spike as much compared to eating out. Or maybe improved insulin resistance? I've been experimenting by including rice in my meals and bread for the past week and blood sugar has been relatively good 4.4-4.6 in the am...without it, it'll be 3.8-4.1 with the usual plant based/fish/no dairy diet...

I'm still on a juice fest and blood sugars are still defying expectations and remaining low

Today has been
B- Beetroot, apple, kale, cucumber, pepper, ginger, pear, romaine lettuce, pomegranete and courgette juice
L - another glass of juice with an egg salad
Mid afternoon - skimmed milk latte, 1 square 85% dark choc
D- 2 slices flaxseed bread with tahini and salad
Fasting BM - 5.6
Pre dinner BM - 5.1
@badcat, hi! That's interesting with the juice. If you don't mind me asking what's your aim for total calories in a day?

Yesterday for breakfast I had plain yoghurts and berries with a green tea.

For lunch...i had a hypo and as I was just spending the day at home I had 5 chocolates to fix it :( followed by a fennel tea.

I had an early dinner of roasted Brussels sprouts and cauliflour in oil and seasoning with mince. It was not very nice...going to have to work on them.

Later in the evening I had the feeling I was going to have a binge but somehow for the first time in a long time managed to ignore them feelings and have a coffee with a splash of cream. I did end up moving all the furniture around and spending money online in place of eating though I recon.

I took a mug of hot vimto to bed.

This morning I woke up with an amazing 6.7mmol. It's been a long long time since I've woken with a single digit number ☺

For breakfast today I just had a coffee with splash of cream.

For lunch I had half an avacado and tuna with some cherry tom's.

For dinner I just had the other half of avacado with a baked egg in.

Tonight I will have 2 squares of 85 percent chocolate

It's the first time I've ever tried avacado and it was pretty nice after I added some salt and pepper and vinegar.

I'm not partic focused on weight loss although I've dropped a couple of pounds over the last week and a half . The days I have counted cals they've have worked out around 1400 - the juices come in around 2-300 cals a go

Hi,

Why do you discard the egg yolk?
That's the best bit.

Had a small portion of shredded wheat this morning with unsweetened almond milk.... then for lunch a slice of bacon, 1 egg and a slice of dry bread

This thread is really helping me stay on track. Have had so.e bad headaches and I think it may be this diet but I know they disappear in time.

Last night I had my two squares of dark chocolate chopped up into tiny bits with some almonds and it really hit the spot he he

Breakfast today was plain yoghurt and berries.

Lunch is a scrambled egg, frankfurter sausage and mushroom with some bacon.

Dinner will be fish and vegetables. Need some ideas of low carb sauces to go with my meat and veg in the evenings as finding it quite dry.

Then before bed will be a handful of almonds.

My blood sugars have all been below ten which is amazing for me. Before this way of eating I was on a rollercoaster of highs and lows. In the twenties and then in the twos! Cannot wait to see my next hba1c! Usually dread it.
