What is a MEAL?

So, my question really is simple: What is a MEAL?

That must be on the top ten of good questions asked in here!!! I've more or less given up testing pre and post meals because I'm never sure, as I eat so little.

Yes that is a good question. I view anytime I eat as a meal. This stops me from snacking! :)

Confused confused confused Gp told me not to test as your not on insulin and to just get on with it and keep taking metformin
No need to be confused. The following web page explains how a type 2 diabetic can use their meter to lower their blood glucose levels:

The main reason type 2 diabetics are told not to test themselves is to save money, since if they were told to do so the NHS would have to pay for the strips.

Yes please.
