what is GDA

Just done my bloods 2 hours after breakfast. had 2 weetabix milk and strawberries. BS 8. this is quite high for me. looked on weetabix packet came across something called GDA no idea what this is so if you could help I would appreciate it

2 weetabix has around 26g carbs, the milk would add about 8g carbs so your breakfast would make my blood sugars go up.

GDA just means Guideline Daily amounts - the recommended amounts for a healthy person who is not diabetic. Because diabetics have a problem processing glucose (or sugars, made from the carbohydrate in the food) then these guidelines may be too high for some diabetics to have.
 
Thanks Lucylocket, weetabix have gone in bin, won't be having them again.
