What is the expected blood sugar reading if a diabetic uses a severe Atkins diet?

You just do not get it.

No, you just do not get it. Your theory, which is what it is, has been countered repeatedly with facts.
Nothing anybody says will convince you otherwise so please, get your article published and stop arguing the toss with those who know what they're talking about. You don't appear to be here to help or support others, but use the forum as a place to air your thoughts.

With respect, can you take it to the journal you have mentioned repeatedly and use them as a sounding board instead?

Yes please do as @ladybird64 suggests. I find it quite upsetting and insensitive to have someone who isn't diabetic constantly telling me that he knows of people who will never be diabetic. Well I am diabetic and it sucks.

I seriously think you're not listening. You say or ask something, I reply and answer your question, but you just carry on saying the same thing!

GD is a symptom of a propensity to develop Type 2 diabetes.

That's not a mad theory - it's a fact.
Hi

You have your empirical evidence. I have my empirical evidence. Why can't they both be true? Why can't "hunter" gene people have sugar problems in pregnancy. Why can't some "hunter" gene people have a propensity to develop (lose the ability to turn off) type 2 diabetes and it can be made worse (avoiding word I can't spell) by problems in pregnancy. Why can't some "hunter" gene people be lucky and tend not to get diabetes? Why can't these be some of the people who lived for (10000 to 20000) years in a society where the main substance is grain?

This is a support forum. I don't find your attitude supportive at all. Thanks for pointing out that some people are luckier than me, that's really made my day.

There is NO 'hunter' gene. The scientist who thought up this theory said he was WRONG. Do you understand that? No matter how it was formulated, it NEVER had basis in FACT and he gave up the notion. Your 'science' isn't real!

It's not so much 'my' evidence as evidence from medical specialists and scientists.

The hunter/thrifty gene is a theory - it's not proven. And it's really irrelevant because we know about Type 2 and the things connected to it. That's what matters.

Many of the things you've said - insulin resistance switching on and off, for example - are simply not correct. You also made incorrect comments about Type 1 earlier.

The work has been done, there is no problem to solve. Enjoy your life and focus on something more productive and useful :)

This thread is going round in circles. I think everyone has had their say, so I'm locking it now :)
