What should my blood sugars be after eating?

My GP says I don’t need to monitor my blood glucose?

Can you please adjust your profile information?
You filled out that you are type 1 on an insulin pump but in this thread you say you are type 2 but you don't share what medication (if any) you are on.

There is no way we can answer your questions without knowing what it is.

If you are a Type 1 then you certainly do need to monitor your Blood Glucose because you could be in danger either going too low or too high!
If you are a Type 2, then we type 2's in here would strongly suggest that you monitor your blood glucose before each meal and then 2hrs after first bite so that you can avoid the higher carbohydrate foods which spike your Blood Glucose. - Not doing so (at least at first) is like driving without a speedometer.
