Hi sir and good day for you@hichamgsm: The information provided by the previous posters is great.
Another thing to keep in mind is the "progression" used by doctors when treating Type 2 diabetes. The first drug is often Metformin. If they want to add a second, stronger drug they often go to Diamicron (or Gliclazide, which I think is the same drug).
So it works the same in the other direction. When reducing drugs, they would probably remove the Diamicron first. The last drug to be removed would be Metformin.
(This is my understanding from reading information on this website. I have never taken these drugs so it would need to be confirmed by someone who has direct experience of the process.)
Hi sir and good day for you
Already today I removed Diamicron for try result tomorrow or after tomorrow I will see what The difference have a good time sir
Have you discussed it with your doctor? I wouldn't play around with my medication without discussing it first. You are right. I will do for a day and see if there is a change I will reverse my decision
In fact I did not just do my best because I think I'm not the person who needs diamicron Overall it will only be an experience Thanks for your interest I understand your health concerns do not need adventureHave you discussed it with your doctor? I wouldn't play around with my medication without discussing it first.
I do change the amount of Gliclazide I take, because when I have very tight control of my carbs and my BS gets into the 5s, then the Gliclazide can push me too low and I have had a hypo. It's very rare for me though, as I can be under 50g of carbs for a while and then I go and blow it in self-destruct mode!
I hope luck helps me get rid of drugs
Removing diamicron / gliclizide for a day will not give you a good idea of what impact the drug is having on your blood sugars as the drug stays in your system for longer than a dayYou are right. I will do for a day and see if there is a change I will reverse my decision
