A few years ago Mr K booked a trip to the Spanish Riding School. It was the 1st March and very cold in Vienna but he told me we were visiting our friends in Southern Spain as he wanted the trip to be a lovely surprise.I’m just amazed at the symbiotic relationship between rider and horse, it’s wonderful to watch and Im sure you and your horse enjoyed it immensely at whatever level you reached.
I had a memorable holiday in Vienna a few years ago where we visited the Spanish Riding School and saw those beautiful horses performing to Mozart. A really stunning experience.
I felt your post needs comment but it would be very difficult and wrong to give advise as I am not your doctor and have no medical training. The only thing I would strongly suggest is you try and see a professional with your medication list and also establish if you are Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetic, not easy in the current crisis the world is in.if I can control as per bellow range through only diet, Do I still need take any medicine?
- Before meals: 4 to 7 mmol/l
- 2 hours after meals: under 8.5 mmol/

I think the majority of is felt similar emotions on diagnosis. I know I did. I was offered metformin and statins but declined to try change of lifestyle. It worked. Almost immediately my hba1c started to come down. From 62 to 36. Lost lots if weight (added bonus to going low carb). All my health markers are optimal and Ive never felt better. If you have any questions fire away. We are in this together.I am really happy to see your comments. You are one who notice, No-One notice.
Actually till now I don't know what type of diabetes of mine. Earlier last year I met doc about something wrong were happening on left side head. The neurologist did many test and did not come up any decision. Within month I met couple of docs but they were failed to find out the real reason. Later go back again the neurologist, this time he found BG 11 & 18 of mine at the age 30. After seeing the report he commented i may only alive 10 years maximum. This is first time I scared really scared, fear, worried all come through in one row. On the same day I met diabetic specialist he gave me 2 to 3 medicine and advised go back to him. I was worried and never back to him. But I started taking medicine. But it was out of control. I think one year gone i did not meet with any doc. I checked sometimes. Some day it was controlled some days not. I do very busy job. It took my day.
Later I appointment with another doc. This guy just threat me. Advised take insulin, i really fell into depression. Days was passing but I think I was not ok.
Finally I start following life style change doc advise through youtube. I bought a treadmill. Now using treadmill and following diet. No medicine.
Before breakfast it's about 5 to 6.2, after lunch it's is 8, sometimes it's 9, after dinner 6 to 8.
Based on measurements trying to adjust diet.
Sorry long story shared with you. Still i don't know what type of diabetes of mine! Really am I going to after 10 years if Corona don't affect me
Good Morning and 5.3 for me today, whatever day this day is.
Keep up all the good work and be resilient.

We cannot advise on medication. You will need to see your doctor for that.

As for your readings. More information please. Then we may be able to make useful suggestions.
We need to know;
BG level before a meal.
What you ate and an estimate of how much helps too.
BG two hours after the meal.
Knowing these things we can help you change for better health.
Good morning/evening folks, a straight 6.0 on the dice of doom, some would say that's unfair, others would say that you shouldn't have had a chip butty with your tea.
Have a lovely day all, it's a lovely dawn here. Stay safe.

Another poor nights sleep. Worry is a more constant bedfellow than MrSlim.
6.45am FBG 5.9
Not eating yet and hoping it reduces a bit.
Mentiioned elsewhere MrSlims plans to go shopping today. As long as he brings a copious supply of decent wine, not the awful spanish chardonnay, I picked up in a panic last week, wont be complaining about his choices.
Am tired still and feelings a bit depressed. All this planning for the worst while hoping for the best is getting to me.
What a lovely surprise! They are fabulous aren’t they? And Vienna! What a lovely city! Did you queue at the Hotel Sacha for sachatorte? I’m glad I visited before diagnosis so had no qualms about enjoying it.A few years ago Mr K booked a trip to the Spanish Riding School. Luckily, at the very last minute, our daughters persuaded him that he had to tell me so I could pack warm clothes.
Vienna was magical. We watched the Ice skating in front of Vienna City Hall and went on the Giant Ferris Wheel. The highlight of the trip was of course the Lipizzaner horses. It was such an emotional moment when the horses started performing. It was absolutely stunning. I have such lovely memories of that trip.
And it looks so effortless, that communication. You don’t see the riders hands move, it must be very subtle and gentle. It must have been such a good feeling when you got that conversation going and your horse was able to respond to you.Oh that must have been wonderful! I'm glad you got to see them.
Even at the basic beginner levels dressage is so amazing. One of my trainers talked about keeping the conversation going between horse and rider, and that's just what it is, a communication between the horse's mouth and the rider's hands, and the rider's seat and legs and the horse's back and sides.
Hi @Debandez how are things with you? I know you have concerns for several folk you and Eric know, How is your daughter and family. Stay well, stay safe all of you.
Can you maybe email? I email mine. Just a thought.I have a mobile phone @Ryhia which I use to text with. The chemist do not communicate by text or mobile phone. The doctor's surgery send out texts to your mobile phone to remind you of appointments, but there is no provision to reply back to that text (or to send them an independent text on another matter), only a message saying telephone their landline if you cannot make the appointment. I can't telephone their landline with being deaf because I cannot hear it. And when I get a friend to telephone for me (assuming they are answering), they won't deal with her because she is not me and the data protection act etc...
