What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

you make the rest of us look like bad husbands
Be assured most of the time I am a bad husband. I really am a procrastinator and Drive Mrs MC bonkers with my putting off things, but once I get the urge I just go for it and get loads done, no pacing. As for DIY I am quite useless and Mrs MC would say a disaster . Other than decorating, I did this professionally for 2 years before starting my computer business in 1974 and have somehow retained the skill and the equipment.

Take care.

Speedy and like you say something satisfying about achieving a piece of art from those quick movements, brilliant. Whilst yesterday's Bonsai painting did take 15 minutes the signature did take about another 3 mins.
Yes that signature would take a few minutes to do @Muddy Cyclist
It was an absolutely brilliant Bonsai.

Morning...an eventful Bank Holiday weekend culminated in an ambulance ride to our A+E department after a thirty four hour nose bleed which began on Sunday morning at 7am finally stopped at 8pm last night after treatment... taking Warfarin has it risks but it's better than the alternative...got home last night at 9 pm so good to walk back through the front door & get into my own bad slept for a whole seven and a half hours...haven't bothered to take FBG this morning might try later can't decide yet...just going to potter round and try to relax...keep safe everyone.

So pleased you are OK now and had a good night's sleep.

Mrs MC does have rather a lot of Bonsai of all sizes. Some live indoors some outside, all in those shallow pots and they need so much attention. When we go on holiday they either go with us or if in campervan go to a friends to be looked after.
I really like the Larch as it's got those typical clusters of needles that Japanese art so often depicts.
This one lives outside.

Crumbs that must have been real frightening, goodness to know you are back in your home, take care.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who inhabit this thread.

A 5.5 on the meter of mystery and naughtiness this morning. Busy day again here again.

In honour of all the painters on this thread I shall continue painting my shed / workshop with preservative.
Have you fellow posters a list of tasks? Me neither, but I will have in a few minutes along with a koffy.
Go for it today, whatever "go for it " means.
Poor old Alice Cooper it seems " Schools not out " any more.

Wasn't expecting this today. Just spoke to my GP about my lung function results and I'm now booked for a covid test at midday and being put back on steroids and anti-b's.

That's enough excitement for one day thank you

I love that larch @Muddy Cyclist
I cannot grow bonsai...I tried. But I have a larch tree growing in a large tub and I have managed to get it into twisty shapes. The tree was dead looking and 50p when I bought it 15 years ago. It must like me!

Oh flipping heck. Hugs for you @Alien Aspie

What a fright @HarryBeau
Hugs for you
Take care and rest.

@gennepher - I think that this one took a couple of hours as it was so fiddly - I did a very find outline of the trunks and main branches, then small branches, finally added detail and the leaves.
wonderful - I do find this best done with a deep breath and on we go - a lot harder than it looks and I sometimes need several goes before I get one that works - like in the tale of the customer who wants the artist to paint three birds.
