Be assured most of the time I am a bad husband. I really am a procrastinator and Drive Mrs MC bonkers with my putting off things, but once I get the urge I just go for it and get loads done, no pacing. As for DIY I am quite useless and Mrs MC would say a disasteryou make the rest of us look like bad husbands
Yes that signature would take a few minutes to do @Muddy CyclistSpeedy and like you say something satisfying about achieving a piece of art from those quick movements, brilliant. Whilst yesterday's Bonsai painting did take 15 minutes the signature did take about another 3 mins.

So pleased you are OK now and had a good night's sleep.Morning...an eventful Bank Holiday weekend culminated in an ambulance ride to our A+E department after a thirty four hour nose bleed which began on Sunday morning at 7am finally stopped at 8pm last night after treatment... taking Warfarin has it risks but it's better than the alternative...got home last night at 9 pm so good to walk back through the front door & get into my own bad slept for a whole seven and a half hours...haven't bothered to take FBG this morning might try later can't decide yet...just going to potter round and try to relax...keep safe everyone.
Mrs MC does have rather a lot of Bonsai of all sizes. Some live indoors some outside, all in those shallow pots and they need so much attention. I really like the Larch as it's got those typical clusters of needles that Japanese art so often depicts.

@gennepher - I think that this one took a couple of hours as it was so fiddly - I did a very find outline of the trunks and main branches, then small branches, finally added detail and the leaves.A great group of trees @dunelm
May I ask you how long it takes you to do, please? I only ask, because I know I spend too long doing my digital paintings (too much time on my hands?), but I do find it therapeutic, letting my fingers do the painting/drawing. I am going to give myself a time limit today (because I have a busy day). Thank you.
wonderful - I do find this best done with a deep breath and on we go - a lot harder than it looks and I sometimes need several goes before I get one that works - like in the tale of the customer who wants the artist to paint three birds.My painting for today in ZenBrush2 is from 'Example of Mi Fei's style in rendering mountain peaks'.
I spend far too long doing my digital paintings. Today I am busy and I needed a quick one one to do. So I chose this one and gave myself a time limit of 10 minutes. After all @Muddy Cyclist does his masterpieces in 15 minutes using real paint and paper.
10 minutes. I had it done in 7 minutes. 3 mins left. I did the seal. More than 2 and a half minutes left. I popped the setting sun at the top of the mountain. Two and a half minutes left, so I added a bit of pink shading on the mountains. Two minutes left, so I shot over to Snapseed to put on the thin black frame on which I like. Saved it. One minute to spare. I did this in 9 minutes.
it was actually satisfying!!!!
