Just this minute come off a PPG meeting on Zoom. Main topic was getting 1200 patients through for flue jabs on 19th September but the practice manager informed us that we are now increasing the number of doctor sessions as we phase our GP’s back to work - Having no GP’s in your surgery beggars belief.
Thank you, it was practicing some of the traditional leaf drawing techniques so I just added some foreground and background to sit them in.good afternoon all
4.2 this morning
shopping day today plus the added excitement of green bin day
suprisingly quiet this morning perhaps because the schools are back in now. Possibly some of those who were previously shopping at 8am when we get there (that's when they open), are getting the kids out to school at that time now.
Dropped off mum's shopping and she tells us that our cousin and his wife are coming to visit next Wednesday for a few days, all being well. They are keeping fairly isolated at home, both of them have underlying health issues too (He is over 80 now and diabetic and she is not far behind in age).
They didn't manage up for a visit last year so I think that's why they really want to come visit mum just now. We'll get as much ready as we can
@gennepher - miserable situation for you, hope it improves soon.
I think we still have doctors here, if you can get past the receptionist that isbut at the moment there is no practice nurse so no annual toe tickling etc .
@Muddy Cyclist - that's a grand oak tree and lovely vibrant sunset
I agree with you on the current dilemma, we're pleased that mum will get to see our cousins but can't help finding the additional chain of potential contact stressful
@dunelm - this new range of trees are very interesting with their different leaf styles and I like the minmal hints of the mountains in the background
@Alien Aspie - glad that your test came back more quickly than expected and is negative
I like your leaves and waterdrops very much, it's worked well and made a very pleasing image
art bit -
finally thought 'what the h*ll' with the swithering about brushes and bought some plus a couple of reasonable sketchbooks. So I will have no excuse not to try my hand at plein air once everything arrives
today a quick sketchy landscape from a photo

Nice digital cat - take care
I think you should get a free one at a pharmacy because of your condition.Apparently there are no plans for flu jabs at my GP surgery because not enough staff nor any GP's. So I don't know what to do about it because I am entitled to a flu jab because of my health conditions.
Thanks for the cat compliment @dunelm
I can’t use the telephone as I am profoundly deaf @lindisfelI think you should get a free one at a pharmacy because of your condition.
Try phoning your pharmacy.

Thank you I quite like them the middle one was not a special effect but the sun reflecting from the surface of the lake and I set the camera to manual focus and got just the right angle I think it made it look almost surreal and abstract it is my favorite of the days photos.Great photos @JohnEGreen

Winner for keeping up the daily painting challenge despite the adverse contentedness. Tough old gig that contentment. So glad I'm not a afflicted.I a man feeling bo creativity, too content and so to show that artistic ability requires somber moods here is my 3 minute forced watercolour sketch A4 with a number 9 rigger brush, sorry but at least I have managed to keep up my paint every day challenge...

Thank you @Muddy Cyclist@gennepher I have no desire to be creative today, a nice afternoon with friends probably left me too content. So nice cat and well done in your non creative mood.
