Cheers all. Doc doesn't seem too worried and is checking back tomorrow to see if I'm dead. Running around 110 now so we'll see, I've cancelled cartwheels in the hall for tonight
Brilliant @Alien Aspie
Hopefully by cancelling the cartwheels you'll be around a wee bit longer...
It's the backflips that worry me more.
Also just received a text to say I'm getting the vaccine soon and will be notified. They did let me know where I have to go to and it's a bit of a schlep by bus but hopefully worth it
Thank you, quizzical I like.like your 'time' character, rather more quizzical than scary, I thought his wand was the sun, that makes good metaphorical sense and I do like the idea of his robe being tattered by his passage across the earth
@gennepher Regarding your art today. There is a lot of detail in those waves I'm not surprised by how long it took, brilliant.
Following up on my message this morning I got a call from my care co-ordinator pretty much telling me what I already knew that they are severely short-staffed due to government policy regarding how many services a care worker can work for at once. There is a limited amount she can due to the current staffing levels and the guidance the trust is getting from the government that keeps changing every 5mins. I've got 1 morning session booked for next week and she is going to talk to her manager to see if another session can be booked in. It's just generally a rubbish situation all round because I know my old care company would have struggled at the moment to fill my full hours as well. It looks like it's not going to change until at least early-mid January. They have referred me to the befriending service as well so I'll get a call once a week someone to talk to.
There's a lot of Zoom type meetings for various support groups (not connected to the care company) that I keep meaning to attend but I either forget or am too overwhelmed or tired at the time to participate.
Well I'm glad I messaged so at least the conversation has been started and they are actively trying to get some more support in place.
Thank you @gennepherThank you @dunelm
I hope you can sort the shower out sooner than later. Good luck for that.
I love this yellow treatment to your detailed painting.
Have a good day.
Thank you @geefull - lovely, delicate and intricate rendition of your hellebores - village hall Christmas dinner sounds good - is it fancy dress?good afternoon all
4.4 this morning
shopping day again alreadythe bin men have been, the green bin is back in it's accustomed space and silence reigns outside.
We have received an invitation to an over 60's socially distanced Christmas dinner next week, I think it's in the village hall, my brain has conjured a mental picture of an old school exam sessionhappy to get an invite though
Hope your day treats you as kindly as you could wish
@RFSMarch - sending a hug, remember we're here if we can help.
@JFWinstone - hope they get back to you soon.
@Muddy Cyclist - I like your 'time' character, rather more quizzical than scary, I thought his wand was the sun, that makes good metaphorical sense and I do like the idea of his robe being tattered by his passage across the earth
@gennepher - thank you for the compliment and what wonderful crashing waves you have madeI love the idea of painting waves but they are not easy
@SlimLizzy - you could also try checking the computer's USB port if the mouse has a dongle, I had an intermittent fault on one of my ports recently
@dunelm - a hug for the plumbing problem.
I love the landscape it has such a lovely sense of space in it
@Alien Aspie - hope your HR settles and the doc gets back to you soon

Thank goodness I don't do Zoom....Good morning all on shopping day at Lidl.
We know what want so its a quick rush round with a cart then a quick trip to the chemists for my tablets. Nb must get another four weeks tablets in quick before brexit.
The duchess doesn't take tablets enjoying pristine health which is good because I worry far more about her than me's as Alf would say.
I have an early warning about Christmas when we have a Zoom meal with our eldest daughter and s.i.l. .
We shall have to sit at one of the table with all the food plus the laptop the other end.
Not worked out yet how the laptop will not become plastered with Christmas pudding?
She particularly has warned me not to drop too much food in the process.
I keep telling her its a lot further from my plate to mouth than for anybody else!
I think we shall have our own dummy run with the duchess monitoring in the upstairs lounge and yours truly eating a dummy meal accompanied by a blow up santa claus.
D.
Painting for today - a bit more playing with backwash on rice paper. Stay well, time for my koffy.
