It's the backflips that worry me more.

Also just received a text to say I'm getting the vaccine soon and will be notified. They did let me know where I have to go to and it's a bit of a schlep by bus but hopefully worth it

You lose some you win some you get a score draw. My Adidas fitbit he no worky anymore. Live chat with fitbit trying to resolve the problem and unsure of warranty. Turns out I'm entitled to a free replacement BUT Adidas wasn't an option. Oh well - (other Fleetwood Mac tracks are available.) Speyside testing incoming just to help science you understand.

Following up on my message this morning I got a call from my care co-ordinator pretty much telling me what I already knew that they are severely short-staffed due to government policy regarding how many services a care worker can work for at once. There is a limited amount she can due to the current staffing levels and the guidance the trust is getting from the government that keeps changing every 5mins. I've got 1 morning session booked for next week and she is going to talk to her manager to see if another session can be booked in. It's just generally a rubbish situation all round because I know my old care company would have struggled at the moment to fill my full hours as well. It looks like it's not going to change until at least early-mid January. They have referred me to the befriending service as well so I'll get a call once a week someone to talk to.

There's a lot of Zoom type meetings for various support groups (not connected to the care company) that I keep meaning to attend but I either forget or am too overwhelmed or tired at the time to participate.

Well I'm glad I messaged so at least the conversation has been started and they are actively trying to get some more support in place.

But it is disappointing for for you, especially considering what your old care company would have tried to help you with.

The zoom type meetings must be stressful (I cannot do them with being deaf, and Google captions make up a different fairy story of what is being said, depending on accent etc of the speaker), but I understand they are stressful enough for a hearing person.

I find it easier (being deaf) when there are chat (text) type groups, which are not dependent on attending a time scheduled zoom meeting. Okay, it is not immediate conversation and response, but it is the best I can get out of this situation.

You have started a line of conversation/communication with the care co-ordinator on your needs, so I will hope that leads you to where you need.

Good morning everyone from a so far quiet morning in the dark and dangerous north.
The wonder wheel of roasted seasonal vegetables came in at 5.0 this am

The Beeb now has a Brussels correspondent - so hopefully any talk of a shortage of sprouts will classified as Trump News. From one of our degenerate MP’s - “no movement in the right direction:. - Well eat the sprouts, better still the Jerusalem artichokes and hope that moves you before Sunday. Three practical disagreements - bring out the Magi.
Mike Ashley is evidently saving the day - can we expect wage drops and bad working practices in Debenhams?
Vaccine lottery results are coming in - congratulations to those with golden tickets - will you be bombarded with reporters asking such thought provoking and deeply probing questions such as - “what was it like?”, “what will you do now?”

@Alien Aspie - how’s the h/r this am?

We have been invited over to our daughters house on Christmas morning - result - more cooking that I don’t need to worry about. I will though be doing a fancy Sunday lunch later in the day, 4pm I have been told - I do not work to timetables - my food is art - I think that’s what she said.

Painting for today - a bit more playing with backwash on rice paper. Stay well, time for my koffy.

 
Good morning all on shopping day at Lidl.
We know what want so its a quick rush round with a cart then a quick trip to the chemists for my tablets. Nb must get another four weeks tablets in quick before brexit.

The duchess doesn't take tablets enjoying pristine health which is good because I worry far more about her than me's as Alf would say.

I have an early warning about Christmas when we have a Zoom meal with our eldest daughter and s.i.l. .
We shall have to sit at one of the table with all the food plus the laptop the other end.
Not worked out yet how the laptop will not become plastered with Christmas pudding?
She particularly has warned me not to drop too much food in the process.
I keep telling her its a lot further from my plate to mouth than for anybody else!
I think we shall have our own dummy run with the duchess monitoring in the upstairs lounge and yours truly eating a dummy meal accompanied by a blow up santa claus.
