What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Last Friday I had some scans at the Eye Clinic to see if I needed more injections in my eyes.

I didn't post this here because I was super stressed about these scans and I know it is absolutely ridiculous getting stressed just because the NHS wanted to scan my eyes so they can administer a very successful and expensive treatment which will prevent me losing my sight.

Part of not posting here was also because I feel a failure when the macular oedema comes back and I have to have the injections - even though I know I work so hard to keep my blood sugars in a good place.

Got back from the dentist just as the Eye Clinic rang. OMG I thought - this must be serious - only for them to congratulate me on how good my eyes were and I don't need a scan for another 9 months. What a relief - no injections needed. Although I do feel I need to lie down in a darkened room for a while.

Thank you for posting this. On the way to the dentist today I went to Boots and bought some. I felt a lot safer travelling on the bus for an hour each way, walking through crowded Norwich streets and having close contact with Dentist and Hygienist knowing that I had this nasal spray.

Well, I suppose deals with compromises are in vogue. Nespresso is acceptable but Montezuma's is a difficult sell politically for me. Oh well, if its for the greater good and gets the deal over the line - just don't wave that stuff in our faces
So pleased that you acknowledge the huge sacrifice I am making for the greater good with my extensive Montezuma testing.

My friend, those are some of the finest whiskies on the planet. Your friends have great taste (and generosity)/ I'm looking at a Laphroaig 10 year old, to ease the passage into a brighter future.

I have given up on the horses for today but thanks to @Alien Aspie i now know where I'm going wrong, forgot to draw on the horns. Back at them Tuesday.

So a very quick A4 watercolour of the mist in Trent Valley from a day or two back..sketch idea for a painting just over 5 minutes...

My gift back to them this year is a new one for me but I really like it. A Welsh single malt whisky from the Penderyn Distillery. I chose to go with the Dragon, hopefully, they will enjoy it

A decent poem and a grand whisky. Savour that golden liquid.

Thank you. It just occurred to me that No 1 son was behind the whisky. If so there are about 10 more to come preferably with certificates verifying cask and bottle number. Cheeky pup co-opting his brothers to help him. One was in France with us and the other stayed with his grandparents when the damage was done back in the day..

spot on Krystyna they'd be over it like a shot...the bedroom door has to stay firmly closed...Charlie has ruined two of my best feather & down duvets so far...for some reason he commits unspeakable 'crimes' on them so he's excluded.
I wonder why he does that. There must be something about feather and down that makes him feel it's the right thing to do.

Thank you Ian, its is sad some only know an harsh master. One can empathise with his thoughts.
They only have to search his face to know his love, but they wish for something else in hoping man should face punishment instead of joy.

Another fine mountain range.

On the koffy front, I read there could be a world wide shortage, much more worrying than @alf_Josiah sprout shortage. Don't fancy having to result to Black Adder style coffee in the trenches.
I rated your post funny - but in reflection it isn't really funny at all for someone who loves coffee as much as I do.

I do hope your GP can help. It is such a shame that your surgery does not have a good track record. @Muddy Cyclist is right - that maybe keep knocking on your doctors door, and once you know what is the reason for the pain and fatigue you can start to find ways to manage it.

A good reminder A.A. I must remember to help the N.W. Cumbria Food Bank, the thought of children going without over Christmas fills me with sadness.
