I'm sorry to hear about the job @mrst123So ... I have really stuck at around 7 all day regardless of what I have/have not eaten (even after 3 Thorntons chocolates (wee test for me) which were good btw - I can be naughty! ) so BS still not right?
I never got that job so looks like I will be a lady of leisure for a bit longer ... at least I got the experience of the interview and skype/teams which she changed it to half an hour before my interview - glad to see the back of her she was dis-organised chaos.
What a rollercoaster you are having at the moment @BRSBRI - hugs for commiserations and congratulations - just what you need when you are on the other side of the world from your family and friends ... typical these things are sent to try us ...
I had some...Did you eat the duck feet?
Hear hear @alf_Josiah.
Really good news @alf_Josiah
Thanks K. I also heard yesterday someone ran off with my daughter's stethoscope. She put it down for 30s she tells me. What's the world coming to? Dad bought her a new one and it'll arrive to supplement her spare today or tomorrowSo sorry that MrsBRS's car is likely a write off. So sad that a person stole it and trashed it knowing that it belonged to someone who worked for the NHS.
This is tonight's ensemble for dining..I would requisition a plastic apron, it is obviously very unbalancing being on the other side of the Earth!
Reminds me of the old Scottish comedian Chic Murray who said - "A Scot is a man who keeps the Sabbath, and everything else he can lay his hands on"...Its like the one about the Scotsman who fell down with a bottle of whiskey in his pocket and felt liquid running down his leg, and shouted, "Ach, I hope it's blood!"
That's what the other ½ was ranting too...! Almost character for character! What a mess. Some people !!!@#$@@#$%#
Oh dear...Another day gone.
A senior team member from work fighting in an ICU near San Francisco thanks to the dreaded Covid; another new car to be sourced following the wreckage of Mrs BRS' Fiat being found abandoned; one daughter getting married in 2022 and the other through most of her final exams in her 5th year at Glasgow Uni Medical School; most of the prep for a crunch meeting when I am allowed out of here done with $xxx, xxx, xxx at stake for 2021 and 2022; I spilled most of a bottle of wine with dinner down a shirt and trousers and managed to nearly slice my backside into bamboo shoot lookalikes with that toilet and all it's weird and wonderful buttons.
It has been A day. Am I allowed a large nightcap?View attachment 48121
That does have drama @Muddy CyclistFinished my Aldeburgh Watercolour, wanted more drama but let the paint dry too much to work with.

Have a great day @BRSBRIGood afternoon! Or very early morning Europe
It's another scorcher in them thar parts at 27°c and veryThe terrace/ balcony thing is a boon...
After all the stresses yesterday my FBG at 0730 was a whopper at 7.3...an alfresco breakfast of green tea, miso soup, pickled vegetables, and grilled fish, followed by 35 minutes on the fitness bike in the bathroom started me off today...at 1000 I was at 5.2...
Lots of local confernce calls have led to lunch which is a green salad and a bowl of egg drop soup and ginger tea.
Afternoon will be chilling (or boiling) outside, yet another Covid test, an interview with the epidemic doctors on video and getting my laundered wine soaked clothes back. Evening work for 3 hours due to timezone misalignment and a dinner...not all over me I hope.
Wish everyone west from here happy Wednesday
Sorry to hear you did not get that job. Others will come along I'm sure.So ... I have really stuck at around 7 all day regardless of what I have/have not eaten (even after 3 Thorntons chocolates (wee test for me) which were good btw - I can be naughty! ) so BS still not right?

Thank you. That does have drama @Muddy Cyclist
I like it as it is. It would be finished for me...
I like the balance of the whole painting.
But I would also be interested to see what else you think it needs...
Of course you have red dragons in your garden - you are Welsh. Although why the red dragons would be guarding a blue dragons egg, I don't know. Perhaps dragons are of a kindlier nature than suspected.
He was one who used to say, "He like to get up early in the morning because he had the rest of the day to himself!"Reminds me of the old Scottish comedian Chic Murray who said - "A Scot is a man who keeps the Sabbath, and everything else he can lay his hands on"...
Over resting? Joints seizing up? We do have to keep moving don’t we. Still, some free entertainment today with the Leylanii removal - sounds expensive though - suggestions of more garden furniture coming in your direction.Good Morning and a high 6 for me today. Not a carby dinner last night and an unusual 8 hours sleep but a night of nightmares and a Morning of many aches and headache so that is probably the cause of high BG. Cocnclusion having a day yesterday doing very little physical activity does not help stop aches and pains.
I was going to continue fence painting but probably won't be up to it. Neighbour is having a huge 40 year old Leylandii removed today right on the boarder of our two properties. It's going to make our garden much lighter adding more areas for sitting in the sun which we need as it's a very dark Oak and Sycamore shaded Garden.
So I have no idea where today will take me.
Keep safe and avoid trouble unless you are @alf_Josiah who is allowed to create mayhem.
