I always view job interviews as 2 way street - where the candidate evaluates the person and the job/ company as much as the other way round. If you had gone into an admin/office role which is the epitome of organisational efficiency, she may have driven you mad!

Hope your BG will get to where you want it to be too...

I have more self confinement to enjoy, do the business I need to fix, get it signed before getting home...but soon enough

The terrace/ balcony thing is a boon...

After all the stresses yesterday my FBG at 0730 was a whopper at 7.3...an alfresco breakfast of green tea, miso soup, pickled vegetables, and grilled fish, followed by 35 minutes on the fitness bike in the bathroom started me off today...at 1000 I was at 5.2...

Lots of local confernce calls have led to lunch which is a green salad and a bowl of egg drop soup and ginger tea.

Afternoon will be chilling (or boiling) outside, yet another Covid test, an interview with the epidemic doctors on video and getting my laundered wine soaked clothes back. Evening work for 3 hours due to timezone misalignment and a dinner...not all over me I hope.

I had some...
It tastes like dark meat chicken. There's nothing to them, it's all literally skin and bones - a bit like a chicken wing except those are plump in comparison.

It isn't dainty ... and an experience I won't repeat. But it's better than snake in Cambodia and the like which serve the roasted skeleton which locals crunch for calcium...

Thanks K. I also heard yesterday someone ran off with my daughter's stethoscope. She put it down for 30s she tells me. What's the world coming to? Dad bought her a new one and it'll arrive to supplement her spare today or tomorrow

St Patrick's Day - but as Guinness will send my carbs to the Blarney Stone and back my concession to the emerald Isle tonight will be wearing a lime coloured apron


My work has a huge facility there and some of my team are based across the Irish/Celtic Sea - so wishing them and everyone from Eire - Beannachtai na Feile Padraig Oraibh!

Insurance has been great - delivered a brand new Mini Cooper rental last night until it's all sorted.

I don't know either @SlimLizzy ...they are not very communicative. I have just sat out with my first cup of tea in the dark swinging on my swing, 5am, and I could see glimpses of a luminescent blue. I did take a couple of photos to capture the intensity of that blue (to make a colour chart in Procreate), but there was a sudden rush of wings across my face...and I came in...hurriedly...
 
Good Morning and a high 6 for me today. Not a carby dinner last night and an unusual 8 hours sleep but a night of nightmares and a Morning of many aches and headache so that is probably the cause of high BG. Cocnclusion having a day yesterday doing very little physical activity does not help stop aches and pains.

I was going to continue fence painting but probably won't be up to it. Neighbour is having a huge 40 year old Leylandii removed today right on the boarder of our two properties. It's going to make our garden much lighter adding more areas for sitting in the sun which we need as it's a very dark Oak and Sycamore shaded Garden.

So I have no idea where today will take me.

Keep safe and avoid trouble unless you are @alf_Josiah who is allowed to create mayhem.
 
This thread has been a bit haphazard in the posts appearing on my screen, last few days. I checked the posts earlier this morning, and looking now 7:11 am, quite a few posts have appeared from yesterday and some hours ago, that were not there when I looked earlier this morning.
So I apologise if I have missed/not replied to stuff
 
Good morning everyone from a dull, overcast morning here on Paddy’s day.
The wonder wheel of salad with eggs and prawns came in at 4.8 this am

Yesterday’s wet and windy day soon dried up - the wind didn’t drop - but that all adds to the fun of walking along the prom pushing a pram - which has a safety strap that you have round a wrist - you can pretend to be Ben Hur at the chariot races as the wind pushes you, and the pram, along. Our prom, from the bandstand, is 2.5 km long - there is a marker every 100m to keep you on track on the way out - and then the misery of count down on the return (are we nearly there?)
International bin day here today but will probably miss the parade. Bit of trivia picked up yesterday. In Finland, pea soup is traditionally eaten on Thursdays followed by flatulence oven pancake for dessert. There is a nice recipe for it here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/finnish_pea_soup_71758 - not sure about the pancake but might (might) have some of that - “pass me the ham hock, Maude”.

Art - I am practicing mountains - well, the tops. The one on the right here looks a bit out of place but I don’t have a kango hammer big enough to knock some lumps off it. Have a wonderful St Patrick’s Day, Guim La Fheile Padraig shona agus siochanta ort agus ar do mhuintir. Time for koffy.


 
Over resting? Joints seizing up? We do have to keep moving don’t we. Still, some free entertainment today with the Leylanii removal - sounds expensive though - suggestions of more garden furniture coming in your direction.
