What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg 7

The poor fox, he is terrified of Midnight. Is that cat there on the swing, is that cat not on the swing? That is life's burning question (for a fox).

Creative is a kaleidoscope, and I did a double exposure to make it softer. It didn't end up like the picture I had in mind....

Maybe I can create what I had in mind for tomorrow...maybe.

I am getting more stray cats. They are appearing in the nighttime videos. I cannot leave food out for them because of the foxes and badgers. And despite Midnight being in the kitchen all night a lot of the time now, some other cat/s (Jade?) have been in and polished off every scrap of Midnight's supper. The milk has all gone, the Greek yoghurt has all gone, the dish of biscuits completely emptied, and the sachet of cat meat is gone. That is not Midnight. He eats very little. Cat biscuits are his preference. He just licks the jelly off the cat meat, but never eats the soft chunks of meat, and he takes a few licks at a time of the milk and yoghurt. Because of his thick fur and his constant grooming (which he can do now), and his preference for dry cat biscuit, I worry over him getting hair balls. And so I am happy for him to just lick the jelly off the cat meat. I normally give the meat left in the morning out of the kitchen door for Ammy, who is grateful to eat it. But I am having to open a new sachet for her...

I set up a trail camera in the kitchen last night, but it was the one that didn't work at night in the back garden, so, maybe I will get nothing from it.

Time for a cuppa...I have a kettle in the front room now...so I can make a cuppa in peace.

Oh, one more thing. That moon last night shone on my garden as if it were daylight. So, I sat up in bed, all bedroom lights off, with a cuppa. Now, I might be able to witness what I see on the trail camera....

I waited and waited and waited...nothing stirred, not even a leaf...no wild beast came in while I was watching...

I need a nap now, before I start the day...

Have a good day...

No, definitely not lazy.

Thank you for your kind comments @jjraak. Chinese inks and brushes are having a bit of a rest at present. Not sure about the meds yet, have to wait and see.

Thank you @ianpspurs. I made the mistake of getting my covid booster (Moderna) and flue jab on the same day - the following day was not good.

Word is spreading far and wide for the children of Bastet. Smashing kaleidoscope- wonderful colours

If you extend the height you can use it as a sentry box

Thanks for that @Annb - I only have 5 days worth but have been told that it increases appetitive as it interferes with satiety feedback - what joy!

Good morning everyone on what looks to be a smashing day here in the dark and dangerous north. Foraging around the market yesterday was made easy by going early. Didn’t get much - eggs, some nice bacon and a Finnish black bread to experiment with - all sliced up and put in the freezer in an attempt to change the carb load. Later in the day I had to take a parcel to the Spar (I know but they are one of these hubs that do parcels and the word means ‘save’ in German). Town was rammed with tourists, all parking slots taken so had to park in Sainsbury’s car park. Art bit today - the starting point of what I have been fiddling about with for the past week or so. You may recognise it. Have a wonderful day if you can, I’m calling it the Festival of Prednisolone Sunday. Best make koffy.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who live beyond the outliers on the standard bell curve, bit mathematical and incorrect for a Sunday morning, do I care? Not a jot.
Blood sugars this morning were a 5.9, if we drop the decimal point a prime number, the world revolves well nearly around prime numbers and pi.
.
Here in Tilehurst Towers the day has yet to start, but has started, but no breakfast yet and minimal medication, plinky plonky 47 odd and even minutes scales and some Hungarian waltz.
Mrs J has been trying to talk to me, but not having much luck, I need my 10:30am constant, I might have to make it myself grrrr.
Just had a thought could breakfast become brunch….no that would screw up my medication and blood sugars.
Better go and make my 10:30 and do some toast drat, drat and double drat.
Stay safe all.
Footnote
Prednisolone lowers your immune system amongst other thing.

New stockings are not good. They still roll down from the top and cause a lot of pain. I have ordered some 2" wide velcro from Amazon to see if I can make some kind of stiff garter to stop them rolling down and therefore to stop the pain. Can't wear them until the velcro arrives next week sometime. Back to the surgical stockings for now.

Edited to fix typo

FBG 12.9 - BG last night was high but not high enough to take a correction dose (14.3). Didn't drop very far overnight. Probably because 2nd meal of the day was quite late.

Pills, yoghurt and tea later, BG was down to 11.8. That's unusual.

@dunelm, your new artwork is very much like that tree I was talking about a few posts back. I know which album the photo should be in, but still haven't found it.

While it is still morning I can wish you all good morning from a beautifully blue skied, sunny Exotic East. @Annb hug for the stockings issue. I hope the Velcro comes quickly and that garter solves the problem @gennepher shame about nothing to see in that moonlight and a mystery about Midnight's food vaporising. That fox is right to be terrified. Thanks for both the video and kaleidoscope. @dunelm I'm intrigued to see how that art develops. Sounds as though the market tour was both useful and restrained. @Krystyna23040 enjoy Felbrigg Hall, surely there must be a sausage roll event? Invincible you say? ****nal 2003/4 obviously not a pleasing memory for me. I'm glad I didn't have the two for one jab regime but hug for those who did and suffered. @alf_Josiah glad your schedule is back on track. Pi and prime numbers you say? Hmm. From whence do they arise since they couldn't create themselves? Yes Toyah, it most certainly is. Roast chicken lunch with N0 3 son and offspring today. JKP will take MIL's round as she is still feeling off colour. DIL, teenage cancer nurse, had COVID last week. Obviously sent home from work. There is a lot of it about as the saying goes. Take care of others by taking care of yourself.

Oh trees - they hide in the forest of images but turn up when you least expect them to - or is that Ents? Hope the velcro wings it’s way to you quickly

Multi operational Spar...no defined purpose for the food shop any more...

Great start for this sketch @dunelm

Poor fox. It was almost funny, his instant fear @ianpspurs
But I don't know why all the animals go under the swing every night...
