Maybe sometimes Mr K can be stubborn, but then so can I. Archie has taken stubbornness to another level. Poppy is exactly the opposite and will always follow our instructions to the letter. Except, perhaps when we tell her not to steal Archie's food.I have heard dogs can sometimes learn behaviour from humans but that doesn't sound like Mr K so I'm baffled by the source of such traits.
I think that would be just perfect for keeping my classes in order
Alternatively, I have a redundant shepherd's crook you might use (great for extending your reach by about 5 feet and a hook on the end for holding the recalcitrant subject by the neck) or a heavy wooden carved walking stick. The wood is very heavy and black - don't know if it's ebony or not - my husband brought it home from Nigeria for his mother. She used to keep it behind her front door in case anyone should try to break in.I think that would be just perfect for keeping my classes in order
Sounds absolutely perfect @AnnbAlternatively, I have a redundant shepherd's crook you might use (great for extending your reach by about 5 feet and a hook on the end for holding the recalcitrant subject by the neck) or a heavy wooden carved walking stick. You never known who is vulnerable and if you attend and pass it on and they end up in hospital……Neil has just informed me that he thinks he has Covid because his chest and lungs are hurting now as much as they did on the 2 previous occasions he had it. But we don't have any more testing kits so we can't be sure. Question is, should we now both isolate ourselves? I am supposed to be going to an event in Stornoway tomorrow, taking soup and cupcakes with me. 2 big pots of soup ready to go, along with 2 boxes of cupcakes. Ah well, we'll see if I develop symptoms tomorrow.
Yes - that's what concerns me.You never known who is vulnerable and if you attend and pass it on and they end up in hospital……
Thank youKeep your finger on that like icon.
Long press it and a row of icons will pop up @SlimLizzy
Ann can't you still get lateral flow tests from chemists?Neil has just informed me that he thinks he has Covid because his chest and lungs are hurting now as much as they did on the 2 previous occasions he had it. Skepticism - on a Tuesday? Bears, like tigers, bite and scratch and make an awful fuss but with so much more verve.Good morning all from a damp but blue skied Brecks. Three consecutive days of 20c promised here after today. A good 10c too cold for me so shorts and no socks won't be back A young whippersnapper in No 10 having quite his best Diwali ever. Anyone remember Lord Liverpool? A couple of regulars may have been in romper suits. @dunelm do I detect a note of scepticism about some elements of that course? Urban spaceman in the pool, travel cafetiere and I assume they feed you. You don't eat tofu do you? Thanks for the sketch. @Krystyna23040 good news on Archie and we like The Grape Tree but there are none in West Suffolk. Central Norfolk surely went the way of Huntingdonshire and Rutland.? Have your best day but if that is not possible whistle a happy tune.
Beautiful, surreal. Reminds me of Turner’s painting “Helvoetsluys’ when, just before the exhibition opened, he realised his work suffered by comparison with Constable’s. And so he marched in and painted a small bright red buoy in the middle of his canvas. It drew the eye, creating a compelling contrast with the green sea around it. Turner left without saying a word.Fbg 6.5
Between 8pm and 9pm, there is the fox I call Foxy Loxy, the badger I call Kissy Kissy, Jade (cat), and Midnight (cat). Each animal came on the wildlife trail camera several times, but only one appeared at a time.
It was like watching actors entering and leaving a stage, but never actually meeting each other. Ghost cat was absent, but he doesn't usually appear until much later.
Creative is a digital painting in Procreate of an Autumn scene.
My garden never looks very autumnal. It has a lot of evergreen in it. Most of my other vegetation hold their leaves even through winter.
Maybe that is why the birds love my garden. There is always shelter and somewhere to hide for them.
Yesterday when I came back from the shops, Midnight was waiting for me inside the front gate. That was a first! Even when I open the gate to come in, he never goes into the front garden. As far as I am aware, he never leaves the confines of my back garden or my bungalow. I always know exactly where he is, unless he is camouflaged by a shady spot.
As I went into the back garden, the resident flock of sparrows came flying in chattering away. It was a beautiful greeting coming back home!
I sat down on the swing for awhile and watched them.
Anyway, back to the creative. At the end of my garden is a corner behind the garage, which has 4 leylandi in a square formation. I don't allow them to grow more than 8 feet, and in a hot summer they provide welcome secluded shade. There is a wooden seat and a bench. This time of year, it is far too cold to sit there, but various fungi grow on the ground. I believe they are edible for humans, but I have no intention of trying them. However, I painted a colourful red fairy toadstool Instead of the boring brown looking one.
So, the creative is my view out of the leylandi, as if I were sitting in there.
It is also surrounded by bamboo.
Time for a cuppa...
And a nap.
Have a great day.

Thank you @gennepher, I have begun another building but not much time so a few quick sketches for now.Sounds like there will be another amazing day in store for you today if it is anything like yesterday @dunelm
The poor animal in your painting bellowing away. I don't think he is very keen on water torture either...
(It's a great wee painting!)
Possibly, but you have to get to the chemist to get it. I'll see if Alistair can get there during opening hours.Ann can't you still get lateral flow tests from chemists?
D.

I think you are going to have a good day today!Good morning everyone from the penultimate day on the back pain course. Someone is doing a filler session today - Chinese art as a meditative form. Not tried this before but I have all the materials and think a bit of Zen speed painting of an Enso (circle) might be good and then possibly a go at bamboo and if time, a heron in just a few strokes. We can always make hand and foot prints to take home to mummy and daddy. Art bit - bear with at bit more, time flies when you are having so much fun. Best make koffy.
