Yes, a huge weight off our minds. Good that the doctors ruled out the most serious possible cause of her symptoms before looking at the less serious causes of her issues.Wonderful news which must be a weight off all your minds.
I loved being outdoors in nature as a child. Walking, cycling and climbing trees.I do remember a time @Annb when I was able to leave the doors unlocked, and the car was never locked either. And there were no problems with either...I have seen swings padlocked as a child, but I never realised I was supposed to be indoors being taught the bible. Obviously I was a heathen child...I just acknowledged nature as a child...
That is wonderful news indeed. You must be so relieved.Wonderful news. Eldest daughter in Canada has just had a colonoscopy which was all clear. Doctors had thought her low iron issues could have been caused by cancer.
Yes a huge weight off our minds. I had been trying not to think about it too much but of course that was impossible. That is wonderful news indeed. You must be so relieved.
It came to me a short time ago that children here don't do much tree climbing. Most of the Island is bare of trees - it is said that the Vikings cut down all the trees way back when but I think that's a bit unfair, the climate and soil here doesn't make good conditions for trees to grow. We do have low growing shrubbery, but climbable trees are a much more recent addition. Most of the trees to be found are in the Castle Grounds but they are mostly firs and not really of the climbable type. We planted a mixture of trees about 35 years ago and some are fairly big now. Em climbs trees occasionally since Neil cut one of our deciduous trees for her a couple of years ago, so that she could learn to climb. She had a lot of fun and was so proud when she told her mum that she could climb a tree. It's a kind of fun that few children here have had. Sad.I loved being outdoors in nature as a child. I still find walking in nature magical but of course I no longer climb trees.
Trees are a problem for me to climb now @Krystyna23040I loved being outdoors in nature as a child. Walking, cycling and climbing trees.

So @Krystyna23040 predictive text is suggesting you are a bit old for your early morning walk?Really cold again for our early morning walk. Now in the warm drinking coffee.
Good that I checked this post before posting it as predictive text had changed cold to old
Me also, but that doesn’t stop me, me’s and myself thinking about it also bungee jumping and that really long zip wire in North Wales heheheTrees are a problem for me to climb now @Krystyna23040
Long zip wire is not far from me. I have been there...only to watch...Me also, but that doesn’t stop me, me’s and myself thinking about it also bungee jumping and that really long zip wire in North Wales hehehe
Actually I think predictive text might well be rightSo @Krystyna23040 predictive text is suggesting you are a bit old for your early morning walk?
I agree @gennepher . We lived near a steep hill on the A1 and I remember cycling with a group of boys who thought it was a good idea to try to race lorries down the hill. I tried it once but thought it was a bit too scary. I also climbed trees and cliffs. After falling out of trees once too often I became scared of heights - which I still am.Long zip wire is not far from me. I have been there...only to watch...
Which reminds me, when I was child, teenager, and young adult, we used to go to old quarries where there was that long high up cable (which brought buckets of stuff down), hang on to the bit the bucket had been on, and came down at break neck speed...
How did we survive childhood?
Me too! Can't even reach the base these days over the rough ground, but I used to love climbing - trees, half finished buildings (to the horror of my mother - we lived in the first finished house on a half constructed estate), rock faces. Never tried a mountain, but with the opportunity, I think I would have enjoyed it.Trees are a problem for me to climb now @Krystyna23040
It was all good experience for us as children to assess and learn about danger @Krystyna23040I agree @gennepher . I had forgotten the bombed out buildings us kids used to play in...balancing on the charred floor beams high up...Me too!
