@gennepher. Am going to order some. If the only company I know will deliver to France. If not my daughter might post them on. Or Son1 is proposing a visit sometime soon.

She is the most amazing little sparrow ever!!!
5 metres is brilliant @SlimLizzy
She had every odd stacked against her from the beginning, but she pulled through with Pa feeding her!

Morning all from a sun drenched LA on Windrush Day 2023. How you 'doin? Very crowded diary today as it is Drip Trip and double dip bin collection. One long round of pleasure. Winners to @lindisfel for the excellent news and to Little Miss Sparrow for flying. @gennepher thank you for the advice on water for beasties and the amazing kaleidoscope. @dunelm I hope the water butt repair holds/has held and thanks for sharing the art. @lindisfel good piece of advice about the move from @dunelm, From my experience the head must rule the heart and prayer is essential. Enjoy your day as mortgages go up while average height for uk children and life expectancy go the other way. Modern life is goodish?

With a bit of help from us. Near constant vigilance to keep Kiki out of the stable. Have been encouraging her to hunt the fields in front of the house. This may not be good in the long run, esp. When hunting season starts.

It's no good - have been forced to change my clothes. Now harvesting raspberries in jeans and long sleeved shirt despite the temperature of 31°c in the shade. Hat of course.
Roasting! After the picking raspberries may well retreat indoors for some oh so boring housework in the cool. Well it needs doing and planting out is not happening in this heat.

Good happy national bin day afternoon Ladies and Gentleman and best wishes for those poor unfortunates trapped in that submarine.

Blood sugars this morning were a liveable 5.4 severe juggling with last nights insulin dosage to achieve this reading.

Me, me’s and myself had an appointment at the dentists this morning fun and games with the 2 receptionists, one of which knows me and the other looked horrified, then more fun and games with the dentist and her nurse, what the other patients in the waiting room thought about the laughter coming from the surgery I know not nor care not.
After the dentists it was time for banishment to the café shop in the super market.

Now it’s old folk nap time, stay safe all.

Home again with heavily bandaged legs. 3 layers this time. The nurse will have another look at them next week but, apparently, there is nothing else to do if the compression hose don't work - just bandage long term. Heigh hoe, I'll have warm legs in the winter at least.

What fun

Sad news about the men in the sub. At least it seems as though it was a mercifully quick end for them so there was no time for them to suffer.

FBG 8.4 at 3.30 am. Up to 10.7 now. Breakfast soon and that might help to get it down a bit. Legs have been pretty sore since the bandages went on - at least I can stand up without my ankles hurting now but my knees are worse. What you lose on the swings ...

Baking today ready for visitors tomorrow afternoon but a lot less this time because the visit will be after lunch and before the evening meal time. So, it will just be some oatcakes with cheese and some shortbread - probably - if I can control the urge to add a bit here and there.

Wildlife Nighttime Camera

Cat Merlin - "Where's Midnight?"

Creative is a kaleidoscope of daisies in my garden. Not quite as effective as I wanted. I could have done with a patch of daisies to make a kaleidoscope, not just three....

I am slightly suspicious a fox has been in my bungalow during the day. How come I got a pointy hat 3D fox turd in my bathroom....

Nothing on the Trail cameras to tell me whether a fox has even been in my garden in the day...

I am busy busy today...

A couple more cuppas first...
Then maybe a nap....

Lovely daisies. Granddaughter was picking buttercups and daisies yesterday so we had to sing Strawberry Fair.

Morning all from the cool of the morning before 3 hot and humid days here in L.A. St Etheldreda's day today which is significant in the Fens due to her link to our Great Ship It is from her that the word tawdry comes (see 1st attached). Thoughts and prayers with those poor souls who perished in that vessel and their loved ones. God loves us all and will grieve those as well but I find it very hard to argue with this. @gennepher hug for that present in your bed which is a poor way to repay all your love for wildlife. Thanks for the video and creative. @Annb bless you for sharing your gift of baking despite the extra work and effort. Such blessed friends to be able to enjoy your food. Super salmon salad day here, for me anyhow. The other 2 are a mystery as far as diet is concerned. as are numerous others (see 2nd attached) I need more lemon in another xtralarge mug of Darjeeling and 3rd attached - (significant omission from Fung et al - major weakness there fella) but y'all must make your own kinda music. Here's some I find soothing set in Ely Cathedral - Fen boys and girls scrub up well. Have a great day
