Really interesting article @ianpspursThis is a good review. My take on his main argument was that we eat food not Macronutrients and scary sounding lists of ingredients. He is big on the Ks - (not the Khalsa ones) Kimchi, Kombucha, Kefir and Kruat (sauer) as well as cheese (smelly and/or blue) and yogurt (Greek ideally) red wine is also part of his good stuff all as part of a healthy gut. Allegedly helpful with immunotherapy hence my interest. I'm just celebrating the win with a jigger (yes of course I measured and analysed it) of this. MIL gave me a bottle for my birthday - plenty good enough for the price point especially reduced on a nectar card offer. Not sure what the reviewers who downrated it expect for the price and description - matured in red wine casks is a clue peeps.
A both sides now weekend but obviously wonderful to spend time with your daughter. grandson and SIL.Family up from York overnight last night. Grandson very slim and catching his Dad up at 6'2" and turning into a polite and helpful young man, very keen on sport so they all had to watch Wimbledon and follow the Cricket.
I took them out to a smallish Country pub for a meal which saved Marjorie. I went to bed at 11:45 which is very late for me and he was still quizzing his Dad on political questions.
We were sad to see them go back home today.

Was Judith's 70th today so had a take away were going to go out for a meal but decided to wait till Adrian comes home in a week or so, He is returning to Oxford from Ards this week to continue studies at Blackfriars for a couple of years.
Keiran has been constructing decking in the back yard for the last week or so and is doing a grand job will post a picture when it's done.
Judith's brother I believe spent most of the day playing trombone with the Wirral wind band in the park
on the Wirral today hope the weather kept fine for him.

Helen bought Food for Life which is the kind of tome one dips into rather than reads cover to cover. She gave me it to read.It’s an interesting and informative read. I also watch his ZOE podcasts which are available on You Choob.

Good idea! Drink more coffee...I shall add cream @dunelmGood morning everyone on a balmy, or perhaps barmy start here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.4 at 5am. My Kung Fu is improving Mr Miyagi. I have advanced from paint the fence to paint the shed - do I get a sticker? A lighter shade of green than the fence but quite pleasant and Shakin’ Stevens liked it. I was wanting everything all white and seaside blue in a tacky homage to living by the sea. But no, “we are not guest house in Scarborough”. Just wait until I unpack the over large ersatz Starfish, Conch and Scallop shells (do Starfish have shells???). Out to dinner tonight - local boutique hotel is doing a restaurant week, 3 courses for less pain than usual - first course includes tramadol soup. Art bit - a bit more. Have a sparkling day. I shall drink more koffy now I know that it contains more fibre than bananas.

Pa badger is a pain in the butt. I am assuming is him.
He took the lid off my wormery (where I make rich soil courtesy of the worms for my vegetable garden) and ate a few thousand worms. I hope he has severe tummy aches today. It is a very large solid black plastic dustbin. The lid has a twist lock which I find difficult to open. I now only have a few baby worms, so tiny you can hardly see them. It will take a couple of years or more to build that up again.

Also one of the badger family has partially destroyed one of my stray cat pods, torn the front off, and scattered all the dry straw into the rain...
Sigh...
Creative is one of the ink paintings I did when my daughter was here. She is going back now to Australia.
She has taken this painting back with her because she liked it.
