What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

All the best with the drip trip.

Good afternoon everyone. A bit late for me - trip to see GP - prod, poke, prod, suck teeth. I think she used to be a vehicle mechanic. “Well it’s not broken”. - No s**t Sherlock. Blood samples taken - about half an arm. Naproxen and some other stuff. Art bit - what to do with a disaaaster daaarling - paint in a lad on a sledge. Hope your day is going well for you - too late now for koffy.

Winner for the art, humour and Tony Hancock (no relation) reference (but where are we going? Waterloo, I hope ) despite the ouchy. Hug for missing out on Koffy. Mrs Miggins will have to walk the whippet and fill the bath with coal for now then

Order in the popcorn. Meanwhile, how's it going with getting a GP appointment, finding teachers or feeding all schoolchildren? Stop with the wedge issues already and run the country. A French and an Australian nurse running oncolocy today, The Greek sister has been promoted - ****** immigrants.

Love the scenic view of Derek going shopping.
What was the outcome of your appointment, good? bad? ugly? indiffer? Carry on taking the pills?
Further exploration with a splurge woggle valve?
Ard luck with the koffy. You could have tea, anytime? Or a dram? Or something more satisfying? Maybe?

A frightening realisation.
As I boarded onto a sparsely populated bus, I just sat at the first seat available, it was closest to the driver.
I noticed that there was information close to my eyeline, please leave seats available for elderly people. I went to get up, but had second thoughts, (thanks anxiety!) I was the oldest on the bus!
Third thoughts, if someone does need the seats, I will get up.
But, the sign, the seating was designed for me!
The realisation that I'm an old man now!
I never dreamed that I would ever admit my dotage, and the inability to either sit upstairs or nearer the back!
And I ain't cool no more!!!!!

St Paul's Eye Unit I attend, is located within the New Royal Liverpool University Hospital, just off Prescott Street where it joins Kensington...

I was assertive today. Said I wanted second opinion of St Paul's...and I would get back to them @Lamont D

You had a hectic day!

It is not a disaster @dunelm !
It is brilliant!

If you don't think you are old, you are not old! No reason not to take a seat designated for the elderly though.
Just one thought of being tired after shopping, and of course the easy option!
I must admit, I do know how old I am cos of my bus pass but I can still be as active as a twenty year old. (I hope!)

I am back.
Very long day.
Weather was the foulest of foul. Rain, wind, flying wheelies, and tree branches.
Different lady optician. Soecsavers was packed. It seems they are doing a lot of nhs work.
The slip of a girl who tried to take my eye pressure, failed to operated the 'gun'. Someone had to help her.
They still say cataracts in right eye, and it needs dealing with soon .
I asked for printed stuff to explain, got it, got booklets.
Said I was asking 2nd opinion off St Paul's.
I was there a long time asking questions.
I wasn't impressed.
She, lady optician, couldn't understand why I ticked all the boxes that I was having no problems with my eyes with glasses. And I am not. I do find my left eye that she says is perfect vision now, is clearer to see with recently, and I find that strange in itself.
Finally she said (like the other lady optician did) that my left eye had improved since my previous visit a year ago, and I now had perfect vision in it. She also said that it had improved to compensate for my right eye. She also said I didn't need glasses for my left eye. How can an eye improve that much?

I need that St Paul's appointment which I have in less than a fortnight. I need to ask them questions.

You all gave me more confidence this morning. I appreciate that. Thank you. And I didn't get brow beaten to rush into something. I need St Paul's assessment.

I am dog tired now. I need a nap.

My doctor has just phoned me (1810hrs) - bloods results in - come in at 0930 tomorrow for prize giving. I call that good service.

I gave you a hug but it’s a winner for perseverance and getting on with that second opinion. Specsavers in Barnard Castle seems to be worth a road trip.

Good for you.
I know the place.
way back in '75. I was taken to St Paul's, cos I had a metal splinter, that had worked it's evil way to the back of my eye. Within an hour, it was removed by the eye surgeon. Without after effects or loss of sight/vision.
However, I did get a frjght, when the surgeon, told me, he would pop my eye back in. I didn't even know he had done it! Obviously, pain killers did their job!I
A patch and some eye wash to go!

No cooking, footie on this evening and hopefully a lie in tomorrow (yeah!)

Fbg this morning 6.8 I think!

Creative is a kaleidoscope. A wooden box on my bedcovers.
Too long a day today to do anything else today...

I need a few days with no stress and just for me...

Night night....

Stunning kaleidoscope so winner for that. Hug for the stress lately.
