What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank you @jjraak
Perfect
I have put that on my first line on my piece of paper...

Good luck for you this morning x

My personal choice would be to hold back the offer of an operation letter to minimise bias but you must do what you think best (oh no - I have introduced bias). Having read what @JohnEGreen said though - that would probably be the way to go.

Thanks @dunelm

I will be holding back the operation letter. That will come a bit later with whatever questions he asks.

When I walk in, I am simply going to say I am worried because my optician says I have cataracts in my right eye.

But I also do agree with you as well to hold back on all of it.

I'll play it by the one ear I have ...

It depends whether I get boss man or one if his more chatty underlings...

Over and out now for the travelling...

Good morning everyone on yet another blustery day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.6 this am but never mind the quality, feel the width. Blown, blasted, whirled and whisked into town yesterday. The return though was heads into the wind like rounding the horn in a storm but without Kenneth, Barry Took or Marty Feldman to do the fancy scripts. Today is a bit of an unknown but I do need to get a sheet of wrapping paper to conceal a gift that is currently hiding in the back of my wardrobe. Art bit, the sea, the sea! Hope your day is kind to you and all the very best to @gennepher and @jjraak for forthcoming eye appointments. I need to finish my koffy and then do some exercises.

Cakes look OK and hopefully will still taste delicious.

This mornings walk in the park was stunning. There was a beautiful rainbow directly over the park and an amazing red sunrise. We have never seen a rainbow directly over the park before.

It was also lovely to meet and chat with fellow dog walkers

What a lovely start to the day.

Love your art bit @dunelm.

18.12
FBG originally 5.5 but after an hour of pottering and having forgotten to make coffee down to 5.1.
Yesterday evening MrSlim informed me He has got me presents, but they are staying here in France. It's ridiculous to cart them about. Ok thanks, but eek haven't got him much. Like most men he is difficult to buy for...

As he is always making and fixing things maybe he would appreciate a shiny new tool like a claw hammer, a new tool box, tool belt or some such - or some deep heat for aching backs! It could be an escape from festivities for a while to get over to a Screwfix , Tool Station or B&Q. Will a cement mixer be too much

Perhaps some heated stuff to wear out side under his shirt using a usb battery block in his pocket?

Yes, I had decided to make bread pudding - obviously not for me! I have my mother's recipe from when we were children and it was always popular, with everyone. In fact the favourite "cake" of both Dad and my brother.
