Thank you for sharing the art and the images of breakfast time in your household which revived wonderful memories I had buried deeper than I should have. This discussion of angels is not only highly seasonal but forges interesting links that should have been there all along. Jonah and the whale and Harry Potter in the lake challenge was staring me in the face all those years - why now? If only I could see what yourself and @gennepher see in art and others - @lindisfel especially - see in "nature." Actually I think I do but only in the right setting. All that from one post - should I seek help?Good morning everyone on a damp start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. Painted pebbles now adorn part of the garden and some chocolate decorations are missing from the tree. The visitors are leaving this morning so it’s a safari breakfast. Chaos - one of the Ninky Nonks has, under supervision, prepared bacon and eggs either on or to the side of toast for the three miniature humans and they are busily tucking in. Ketchup is very popular and probably the main ingredient of the dish. The grandchildren have each taken turns at being chef and even made their own chefs hats. The eldest has been trained to cut things like tomatoes and cucumber but the the ninky nonks are still restricted to a blunt butter knife. Art bit - well that was fun. Hope your day is a good one. I need more koffy.

Hope you feel a lot better this morning and that the antibiotics are doing the trick.
Thank you @Annb. The grandchildren are pretty good in the kitchen and always make their own breakfasts. The ninky nonks (6 yr old identical twins) are very good as long as it’s not waiting for things to rise or ferment. Little Miss Pamplemouse (age 9) is a dab hand at packed lunches for school and none of the other kids are going to steal kimchi noodle salad bowls. This picture may well be the inside of my brain. I have held a few and they all look so similar on the outside. Inside of a brain - it’s too dark to tell.My word! I am lost in admiration of the artwork. Is that what the inside of your brain looks like?
Also admiring the efforts of your grandchildren in the kitchen.
Very mischievous are those readings, they listen you know5.7 this morning. Hopefully it looks as though I am back in the normal for me 5s - or what used to be the normal for me 5s.
I say hopefully because everytime I have posted that comment this year my readings have promptly moved up to the 6s and 7s.
Well.....if Arnie finds out about your programming clitch, you do know he'll exclude you from the T-800 Annual Meet Up for Oil & Silicon Chips...right ?Actually I think I do but only in the right setting. All that from one post - should I seek help?
Buy a new one. Crowdfunding - saying you are in Wetherspoons and need a drink - is all the rage and actually that's likely to be the March budget. We, the crowd, should jolly well pull ourselves together and fund the millionaires and would be billionaires because they're worth it.Neil's had the dishwasher stripped down and thinks it needs a new part but it is now about 15 years old so we're wondering if the parts are available. It's a Bosch but hasn't lasted as well as the old Zanussi. We bought that about 30 years ago and when we scrapped it, we gave it to my friend's late husband for spares for their even older Zanussi, which is still going strong. It must be about 35 years old. We do like to get value for our money. But the question now is, if Neil can source the part he needs, will it be enough to fix the breakdown. There again, if we submit to calling in a repair man, would he charge almost as much as a new one of a similar model (£390-ish locally) ? Decisions, decisions. Neil doesn't want to admit defeat, I'd rather not waste money. My overdraft can stand it but I'd rather not.
I have absolutely no clue but seems worth a funny. I'll google it then I'll be backWell.....if Arnie finds out about your programming clitch, you do know he'll exclude you from the T-800 Annual Meet Up for Oil & Silicon Chips...right ?
.....
Thank you @ianpspurs. I started our children young when it came to cooking and household chores and the grandchildren are always happy to get stuck in, in the kitchen that is - cleaning up, not so much. The Girl In The Bubble will be staying tonight and at age 4 is pretty good at standing on a stool, stirring a pot whilst saying, “careful grandad, it’s hot.” It’s all done in the best poooosible taste.Thank you for sharing the art and the images of breakfast time in your household which revived wonderful memories I had buried deeper than I should have. Yes, that is so true.Very mischievous are those readings, they listen you know
You've confused the meter with Alexa - easily done at our ageYes, that is so true.
Marvellous. I taught my son that poem when he was little. Also:The whole faux intellectual underpinning and bogus promise of austerity, Brexit, Maga, Trussenomics and war on woke era destroyed in a seemingly simple poem - brilliant. Go on, Joe and Kier use it somehow. Good day so far - this beef has so much to live up to - up to live? Can it deliver - well no, its beef
Good Morening @ianpspurs , you asked a question me, me’s and myself feel obliged to answer, in fact I would hang my head in shame if I didn’t answer.- should I seek help?
Obv the John Connor friendly version..I have absolutely no clue but seems worth a funny. I'll google it then I'll be back
OR...is it a glitch and give us a small glimpse of the MATRIX...mmmhh.Yes, that is so true.
Just phoned the shop it came from - they no longer do repairs. The man who did their repairs has now set up on his own. Phoned him and explained the problem. He agreed with you Ian. The repair would be expensive and a wasted investment on a 15 years old dishwasher, especially a slimline one - harder to repair and so more labour cost. Ah well. I'll leave it until after the bank holiday and then see what I can do. Neil was a bit grumpy when I told him but he was very sleepy (one of his problems is inability to sleep at the right time - doctor says it's because his body is working to something like a 25 hour clock rather than 24 hour like "normal" folk). Maybe he'll cheer up a bit when he's had his sleep quota.Buy a new one. Channels his best Ronald Reagan - there you go again. Who the expletive is John Connor - did Todd Boehly sign him on a pre-contract as well? Poch is gonna be furious. We're gonna need a biggerObv the John Connor friendly version..
