The Biotiful one with protein is already thick. My system seems to tolerate that better but it is slightly more expensive than standard kefir. 100 mls a serve for me is enough with nuts, seeds and berries. Winner for today's sketch but hug for the aches and creaks. 11k steps here yesterday, first time in a while, sleep and vital signs score appreciated that. Thoroughly evacuated and feeling as cold as the contents of a Food Warehouse end of range freezer. Have a good day people.Intersting and I think it has now been answered in so many ways - personally I now buy it. I pour a bit into a bowl, add a dollop of live yoghurt, some chia seeds and a few nuts, seeds or frozen berries - give it a stir and leave on the kitchen top until it thickens - just a few spoon fulls seems enough for me - I sometimes put in a teaspoon of ground flax if I remember.
11K steps is really good. Hope today goes well. At least it is sunny today so it will be a pleasant drive. The Biotiful one with protein is already thick. I buy it from the Polish shop. It is really nice from there.Intersting and I think it has now been answered in so many ways - personally I now buy it. Love your quick sketch @dunelmGood morning every one on what looks to be another splendid day here on the West coast. Planning - it all revolves around locations of public toilets and have I got my Radar key. Train over the top of the estuary yesterday for a wander. Watched the tide rush in - pretty quick it turns. Lovely koffy in a tiny beach hut cafe. 9 miles. Early dinner in pub (a bun less burger - Mrs Miggins had the pie of course, like she does in Black Adder). A bit achy and creaky this morning so it’s celebration pill fest time! Today is wherever we end up - no idea yet. Art bit - quick sketch on a wet postcard with a fine tipped pen. Hope your day is a good one. I better have koffy and take some pills.
Thanks for the good wishes for today. 11k steps when 18 months / 2 years ago I could easily do 20k plus time on exercise bike and/or in the gym tells a tale - sadly. The days of 30k steps are over for me but thanks be to God that I had those days and all the sport. Sadly, I took that too much for granted - run before school, training and coaching (joining in) after, football, rugby cricket Friday, Saturday, Sunday - before children and the need for promotion. Hopefully those and my version of LC/Ketonomics are giving me some marginal gains now. Perhaps recalibrate and try a couple of 15k days a week if things go well. Longer days allow earlier starts and later finishes. My issues are stenosis related so the gym with seated machines (I had them) and my exercise bike (set up with playlists and various levels of rides and data displayed on screen in the garage I had converted11K steps is really good. Longer days allow earlier starts and later finishes. My issues are stenosis related so the gym with seated machines (I had them) and my exercise bike (set up with playlists and various levels of rides and data displayed on screen in the garage I had converted) are actually probably better than steps but aren't outdoors. I gave away the weight machine which we moved and assembled here as it was taking up bedroom 4 and #3 son plus family wanted to visit. I would use that now or at least try very hard. A gym at home, which I had before we moved (used before JKP woke up and while watching sport - also have a rowing machine), is so much easier than traveling even though the nearest one is less than half a mile away and ultra modern and cheap as these things go. Hope you relax today - your relaxing always seems to be what they call active relaxation.
Me too! Have a very happy day once the scan is done with. Hope it finds nothing nasty. And can I join in to wish @JohnEGreen a very happy birthday as well!!!
Peace be with you as well, Ian. Thank you for the poem. I haven't read enough of his work and I really should.@Annb and @alf_Josiah here's a poem and extract from the writer's Nobel Laureate acceptance speech which links, allows space for and acknowledges both the marvellous and the murderous as you two were debating yesterday. Well, it does in my mind but I'm several sandwiches short of the full picnic hamper. Anyhow, if you don't see the connection it is still a wonderful poem and video so just enjoy those. Text of the poem here. Heaney certainly saw enough of the murderous during the troubles and the car being parked and blown about also references friends being blown up. There's not just one or the other so we must acknowledge both for honesty and accuracy and the (seeming) primacy of each in different circumstances. This (fallen) life isn't either it is both, sometimes all jumbled up: even in scenes.times and places such as the video and those such as Gaza, Ukraine etc. It is dishonest and, worse imho, disrespectful to those suffering (from the murderous) and those showing love and mercy (the magnificent) to deny that. Absolutely none of that is down to the meedja :that's animism surely we scientifically aware types moved on long ago. Peace be with you.
To finish:Peace be with you as well, Ian. Thank you for the poem. I haven't read enough of his work and I really should.
I was having that bit of a rant because I feel that humanity should have moved on in this scientific age and found a way to deal with the power hungry and murderous (not suggesting lobotomy or anything so cruel) by organising some kind of worldwide peace-keeping organisation which actually works. Maybe it is an unavoidable part of human nature which has to be controlled by such an organisation, but I am very much aware of the attitude of my generation allowed to develop of the desire to "have it all, right now!" which has led the generations after us to become much more self centred and greedy. The current major world conflicts of course are partly caused by mistrust of those considered to be the enemy, which is understandable in the circumstances but no less murderous in their outcomes when allied with leadership desirous of personal worldwide power.
Thread won't accept the post. I'll split it and see if that will work. Maybe it just doesn't agree with me.
Great photo @gennepher thanks for sharing. What with all that blood earlier Genn's garden really is home to the murderous and the magnificent but then that there outdoors is and always was. Its not safe I tell ya. Stay in, keep calm and drink tea - not much peppermint or red berry tea thoughFbg 6.5
No one told me yesterday that I had spelt foxes wrong on my YouTube video.
I woke up this morning to a message from a YouTuber "Good morning Ma'am you have an x missing"...

Hug for the continuing infection. As for the non rant, people are also a jumble of the murderous and the magnificent both as a species and individually. We can’t and shan’t move on as you put it on our own. All have fallen short. The dog that does bark is that you and so many others continue to feel and strive to see that somehow humanity should be/can do/can be better despite history showing we can’t. Cheer up. It's Friday but Sunday's coming; t'ain’t all about buns, chocolate eggs, overpriced lamb and new clothes so the birds don't do whoopsies on yaAfter all that, I forgot to say:
BG at 0545 was 9.8. 2 lots of painkillers so far. Infection still causing problems. Will have to talk to a doctor again tomorrow if I can. How many courses of antibiotics can this decrepit old body stand though?
Thank you @ianpspurs. Biotiful is the one that I prefer. All the best for today. The Biotiful one with protein is already thick.
