What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

5.9 this morning. The garden is getting some much needed rain at the moment. Actually, rather a lot of it.

Poppy has decided that there is no way she is going out for a walk in the rain. This is the dog who loves leaping into ponds, rivers, the sea or puddles but hates the rain or a bath.

I must admit that I am also not keen on walking in the rain.

I'm not really sure why the US scan was ordered. Or even who ordered it. The last GP I saw didn't take me at all seriously but did order blood tests to be done - that was months ago. I heard nothing more about that afterwards. My only contact with the surgery was with the nurses taking the blood or bandaging my legs. The appointment came out of the blue. Does it have to be a doctor who orders a scan, or can a nurse do it? Whatever, someone did, for some unknown (to me) reason.

Several more appointments in the coming week for one thing or another - starting with diabetic eye screening on Monday.

Bad start to today. Very difficult to get out of bed because I was so stiff and sore. Managed to get my legs to the floor eventually and sat for a while to try to get moving. Shaky when I stood up but I managed to get through to the kitchen where my painkillers awaited. Eased off a bit now - 7 hours later, but still difficult to stand up and move around. BG was 10.4 at 03.00.

Thank you @LivingLightly
The wild life get on very well with each other..

Am late today.
Had to pick up some stuff
Not done my pic yet.
All the seasons and weather's this morning, tired me out totally, fell asleep when I got back, only just woke up...still half asleep.

What I wanted to ask was this..
I passed Aldi on the way home...
So I went on to see if they had the extra virgin olive oil you lot mentioned earlier. My phone wouldn't bring up this site in Aldi, so when I found this at £5:49 I wasn't sure I had the right one, I thought you said it was £7: something.

Have I got the right one?

That's the one. @JohnEGreen thank you for sharing that amazing photograph.

7.0 today.
busy day, with early ko.
surrounded with grandkids at home and footie.

went to shops with Mrs L this morning, it was a lot of fun, afterwards.
it was a good thing I had wrote down what we needed. As Mrs L didn't know if we did.
And wanting again to buy lots for the grandkids, that they either shouldn't have or don't like.

weather tho sunny, very cold thanks to the northern wind, which has not changed since Lillian.

Gonna have to spend time in garden, it's a mess, leaves everywhere, grass needs a trim, weeding and deadheading the blooms.

have a nice evening.

my best wishes to you lot as always.

I hope the nap was good and tonight's sleep is even better. Thank you for sharing those kaleider kaleidoscopes which are both wonderful. I wasn't asked to chose but if asked I prefer the taller one. What does anyone else think

Yes, it is definitely the right one @gennepher.
and at the right price.

Edit: have just realised that other forum members have already confirmed that it is the right one.
