As Picard,I did have a disaster with tea once. I made tea for the builders who were working on our house.
They loved tea but when they started drinking it I was puzzled by the look of sheer horror on their faces. They were standing there like statues frozen to the spot.
Then I realised that I had made them Redbush tea by mistake. I love Redbush tea but they obviously didn't.
Koffy machine - no thanks but whatever floats your boat. Just had a glance at the tea paraphernalia - two teapots (one for green tea with a built in filter). Leaf tea in the form of Assam, gunpowder, Kenya, Uchiyama, Sencha Fukujyu (both Japanese) and some Xin Yang Mao Jain (China). The go to though is Yorkshire tea, and in a neat squared off portion.Ahem young lady. A broken cafetiere is just an opportunity to drink a superior hot beverage or help the economy by buying a coffee machine - ideally voice/wireless/AI controlledA disaster would be when a teapot breaks or the staff are derelict in their duty to order enough tea. Such distinctions in the choice of words are important. One despairs at times .

The bed was comfortable all was great until about three in the morning when the air conditioning unit sprang a leak the noise woke me so I got out of bed to investigate unfortunately the unit was on my side of the bed and I stepped into a virtual waterfall did not get much sleep after that.
As you know on my travels we had overnights and cos I was on a budget that wouldn't stand up to luxury.Thursday night we stayed in the Holiday Inn express so not too posh in Warwick well more Stratford than Warwick all was great room was good the meal in the restaurant not too bad .

Afternoon sounds wonderful, really pleased for you. I had to google Borg - not sure the first hit is what y'all are on about#8 had arrived, and spent a couple of hours with his grandad, messing about, making him laugh, and of course I laughed. I wasn't interested much on the sporting going on, on the box we were out in the sunshine, with his toy cars, his baby shark, his chasing the thousands of birds that have made the footie pitches their home.

In the beautiful sunshine, warm, not hot just beautiful.t

The breakfast at the Holiday Inn was fine but a couple of years ago when we stayed at the Travel Lodge in York the breakfast was so bad we had to go and find a local cafe for something edible.
My mobility scooter is in bits on the floor in the front room the new batteries I bought the other day are fine but the motor unit is shot.
When booking, as with premier inn, always see if there is a beefeater restaurant attached to it, or has a recommendation for its restaurant. A steak in the evening and a wonderful English in the mornings.I sometimes wonder mate.

when staying at a certain Britannia hotel, I just wouldn't eat anything, not only was the restaurant dirty and had a smell about it, the food looked as if it had been warmed up. No recognised chef, so for the evening, we went the chippy close by, I had a fish, which was beautifully cooked.so fresh. And we found a cafe in the morning, and had a fry up. No carbs obviously.
