What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Not suffered myself @Annb ,
But I'd rather imagine the repetitive part means significant damage & likely permanent inflammation ?

I do feel for you .

Not quite the same but I had tendonitis around my 50's. For a while .

Not on your pain scale but very debilitating none the less .

Thanks for the kind words
Best wishes to you .

Thank you very much for the beautiful compliments @jjraak

I am envious of you and THAT pool @jjraak

I do admittedly feel a little blessed, @gennepher .

Sure we all envy parts of each others lives, your garden for instance, pure heaven with it's cats & wildlife.

Wouldn't it be magical if we all could have just a piece of the joy others have in moments of their lives, and share it physically ?

Not practical of course, but I like to think this little wedge of the forums offers us a virtual world where we can share & enjoy each others experiences.

I believe that carpal tunnel won't get better without some form of intervention.
May it be gloves, physio, manipulation similar to physio, or something like acupuncture (no!)
Or the op, which I had! And very successful it was. The relief after was brilliant. And fourteen (I think) years later, I would do it again.
The arthritis is still painful in this weather and the cold.

It is still raining, now over 24 hours solid.
Trains are having difficulties even the underground, buses and taxis doing good business.

I love the magical waterworks at your hotel.
I love the idea of sharing our good fortune.
a wish to be somewhere else, is something we all could do with, but dreaming of pastures new or the grass is always greener scenario. Some magical places are not as perfect as advertised.
imagine @gennepher in Greece in 45-50 degrees.
imagine myself in -10 degrees Russia?
My holiday in Berlin was brilliant as a teenager.
However, having Russian security at checkpoint charlie, being frisked, fear as you saw the soldiers, Brandenburg gate, the tanks, the furherbunker, the wall, the bleakness in East Berlin, not my ideal of a holiday, just a bit of an adventure, as was the American MPs, as I was being nosey around a certain area around the air base, when we visited the PX.
Or in a caravan and it has all the hallmarks of your worst nightmare!

I couldn't share my dream, wishes as it would put me in a truly awful light.
I'm a good guy, who loves his family, and wants the best for most (but not all).
I try to do my best, and it is awful.
I am so fortunate in so many ways, blessed in many more, but life can be so cruel and hard.
Wishing it away, is not how to deal with it all.
Enjoy your breaks, as I do mine.
Best wishes to you lot as w.

This forum is important @jjraak in many ways. In some ways we realise things when we see into others' lives, and we get an understanding of them. And maybe an understanding of our own past, when we had not understood the viewpoint of another.
Sometimes we realise what we had forgotten. Sometimes we remember. It takes something when we talk as much about ourselves as we do on this forum, sometimes presenting our vulnerabilities. And then in return we realise the vulnerabilities of others.
I think it creates a better understanding.

I would love to be in that swimming pool!!!

You are right @Lamont D
I would be absolutely useless in Greece at 45 to 50°
I think many of us had our adventures in the past when we were ready for them...
I know I did...
Yes, life can be cruel and hard. And the twists and turns and heartache. And these are the things we do not mention, and keep to ourselves.

It might be 10 pm in the evening here, but I am now going to the front room to do some painting. That uplifts my soul and I can fly into other dimensions when I am painting... and I will be thinking of that fantastic swimming pool...
I do have the freedom to do what I want when I want (physical limitations permitting), but in my mind there are no limitations...

With that, may I wish you good night and may you have a peaceful night....

It looks just perfect @jjraak

I think that you can get it in iPlayer @Annb. It is well worth watching.
I'm still trying to work out how to access iPlayer and the rest. My old TV can't do it and my PC might if I could figure out the jargon around Firesticks and such, never mind how to use it once I get one. No point asking Neil - he despises TV and modern drama. The most recent theatrical thing he did was to appear in The Gondoliers at school.

Last week the hand rail on the stairs broke and when I reported it to the housing association it was repaired within twenty for hours in fact at 10 o’clock that evening, well this morning it broke again this time the bracket snapped so I contacted the housing association again and it was repaired at about 9.30 this evening so can’t fault them on there service at all each time they treated it as an emergency brilliant.

Thank you @gennepher for sharing this action-packed nighttime video and your eye catching artwork

I asked Alexa if it’s ever going to stop raining the answer I got was “right now it doesn’t feel like it ever will” I think I have a depressed AI on my hands.
I'd Keep a close eye on that John

Could be innocuous @JohnEGreen

On the other hand, if it starts calling you Dave......

(@genn a little bit of context .
Voice of hal is particularly soft & soothing, which adds to the menace of it's insanity
