What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Glad to read that you are enjoying your cruise. Only been on one - Fjords - brilliant - we want to do it again - hopefully.

Morning folks. So the kindly NHS has sent someone to keep an eye on my bg. I am informed that it is 5.4 @6.15. I was also very kindly woken at 4.30 ( having been awake until 2.00 at least) to have my blood pressure, sats and temperature taken. Have a great day folks (I wish I could record the mixture of snores and flatulence which passes for a dawn chorus in here it is quite something.)

Coffee seems to be quite a big thing in many of our lives here doesn’t it? I’ve become quite obsessed by it.
I have a friend who bought a second hand professional Italian barista that was being replaced in his local koffy shop - all red, silver and brass with fancy crests - he even went on a course after he plumbed it into his kitchen.
Interestingly - he recommends grinding your own beans and experimenting with how coarsely/finely you grind as the taste of the end product changes.
I just use a cafetiere and whatever koffy is on offer as I am a philistine (I don’t drink instant though, or that muck that sits in glass jugs on a hot plate for hours on end - yuk!)

Glad to read that your op went well and that the kindly NHS folk are keeping you on your toes - wonder which part you are playing in this latest carry on film?

Good morning from yet another successful and thankful awakening- this time in Birmingham.

The wonder wheel of a three hour journey taking five on a pretty daft day for traveling yesterday splurged out a 5.1 this morning.

The two year old twins (Chaos and Mayhem) and their four year old sister, Little Miss Pamplemousse, had an interesting take on our satnav:
Satnav” “At the roundabout, take the third exit”
Chorus from the back of the car: “OK”
They also learned new word for mum and dad; “route” and “recalculating”.

Daughter in law made some traditional Thai bitter melon soup last night - very tasty - it allegedly helps with blood sugars.

Have a great day if you can, interesting article in the news recently about pet food - vital viewing for fussy eaters:

It the body suite very heavy?
How do they stick needles through it?
No body suit needed - I am Hattie after her LC experience. The needles use the cannula all the fashionistas around here love - I have an addidas go faster one.

5.8 and it's bright and sunny. Woke to confusion as I could hear the bin men and my brain tried to tell me it was Wednesday. Took me a moment to realise that it was because they didn't show up for the recycling. Anyway, I am now ingesting cofee and will feel normal again shortly, enjoy the weekend

Morning All. 5.1 today so hello my old friend. The weather breaking down later today so laundry and planting of bargain dahlias to be done this morning. Son back from Dublin (for the NL derby rather than see mum & dad but nice all the same).
@ianpspurs funny account of your night and you will be so glad to be back in your own bed. Puts a different spin on Dawn Phenominum! @karen8967 glad you’re back in the pink. @SaskiaKC what a carry on with lunch! Reminded me of yesterday after I vacuumed all downstairs (cream carpet). Then sat in the garden with a

Not sure what happened there...anyway sat in garden with a cup of tea and two felines who proceeded to roll around in the flowerbeds, did a thorough job and of course then retired inside out of the heat. Out comes the hoover again. Its a good job we love them.
Have a great Saturday everyone. Stay well, stay safe.

Is it just me or have Kit Kats got a lot smaller though they do pack a lot of carbs in...mine disappeared in an instant so no chance to change my mind but oh the guilt..that lasted a lot longer and if I’m honest I didnt like the sweet aftertaste.

Kit Kats have got tinier, like lots of other sweets @PenguinMum
They might taste heaven as you eat them, but the immediate nasty aftertaste leaves you perversely wanting more.

Fbg 7.1

Going back to my animal protein today...well eggs at least. I am addicted to eggs. They set me up for the day if I have them first thing, and improve my mood.

But my body did have a rest from animal protein yesterday, but it made no immediate difference to my blood sugars.

Dull grey clouds again. Quite high winds again. I live by the Irish Sea, so we get a lot of windy days.

More garden work. At least it is not too warm.

Have a good weekend. It is Saturday isn't it? Ah yes my phone tells me it is...

>^..^<

That's is very confusing @HarrisonK when things appear not to happen when they should. It puts the brain in a spin...
Enjoy the weekend.
