What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

It’s 6 AM and my blood sugars are at 8.5.
Dawn will be in about 30 minutes and the sky is in that twilight state as night is slowly fading in the twilight the temperature out side is about 5 degrees but expected to be going up to 15 degrees with no rain forecast.
@gennepher seems you had an interesting day with a strange but pleasantly interesting interaction with a perfect stranger I hope your prescription is sorted soon does your pharmacy not deliver your repeat prescriptions.

@Lamont D Happy 70th you young whippermsnapper but not too much birthday cake mind you, on my birthday Keiran bought me a cake but as he won’t eat carbs and I can’t well shouldn't Melody and Judith had plenty of cake to eat between them.

A very similar dawn and temperatures here @JohnEGreen
Yes it was an interesting, intriguing day. A pleasant different kind of interlude from my daily kind of life.
I have made some notes on the day, with some ideas for a short story, suggesting an air of mystery, about a woman who is a social butterfly, (is the best way I can describe it), and she 'chooses' people (strangers) to invite for lunch....

Thanks. No, my pharmacy does not deliver prescriptions. It used to but too many people needed their prescriptions delivered so they stopped doing it, saying it was impossible to keep up... strange logic...

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and those who remember the sprightlyness of their endless youth.

Blood sugars this morning were firstly 4.6 then straight afterwards 5.1

Birfday greetings to @Lamont D and also to any others where due.

Now it is time to go
To the lonely sea and the sky
I left my bacon sarnie there
I wonder if it’s edible?

@gennepher a very strange and interesting day

AI was brilliant. My keyboard split vertically in half and was really annoying. I googled it and AI came up with a very simple fix.

Very puzzled as to why my kindle fire suddenly had the option to do a vertical split of the keyboard. It made it almost impossible to type on the keyboard.

6.0 today at 02.15. Up that early again due to the pain in my arm/hand. Phoned the pharmacy to see if my stronger pain killer prescription is in. No. I don't think the surgery bothered. I'll have to get on to them again on Monday. I've found that I can keep the hand reasonably comfortable as long as I don't use it, by keeping it warm and by taking extra codeine alongside my normal painkillers. Probably not the best practice but the best I can do for now.

Tried phoning 111 for advice but they're too busy dealing with urgent cases to talk to anyone else. Made me feel a bit ashamed taking up their time when someone with a more urgent need might be trying to get through. Not that I spoke to anyone - that was just the automated reply. I'll try the NHS website and see if that is any help.

Tried that. OK if you're in England or Wales but not in Scotland. Scottish health services were never all that bad, but something has gone wrong since 2020 and lockdown.

Just keep loading on the pills I guess.

Fbg 6.9

I was out in the front garden earlier about 1pm and it was so hot, the sun was burning, and I had to come in. My face feels like it has caught the sun...

Creative...a Laboscope kaleidoscope from the garden centre, of the pink primulas. ... no good in my garden, the snails and slugs would eat them all...

Have a good day...

Take care.

Strange days - smashing sketch with observed movement

good early evening. Busy day. Veterans breakfast club and then wandering round the Farmers Market. Lovely day and Mrs Miggins put a coat of preservative on the garden fence - I had sprayed it with anti- algae stuff a couple of weeks ago in preparation.
Girl In The Bubble came round about an hour ago, just when I thought that I would finish my current read. No chance - far too much excitement going on.
art bit - ink on watercolour paper.
Have a great evening.

Very effective artwork. Looks like an avalanche, or pyroclastic flow. Time to get out of there, whichever.

You should not feel ashamed @Annb as your need for pain relief is just as urgent. Hope you get it sorted.
