There's two boats out there... @dunelmGood morning everyone on an all things bright and beautiful start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.7 this a.m.
The eighth birthday of The Ninky Nonks (Chaos and Mayhem) came and went with all the fanfare, fun and a splendid cake made by their mother.
A sofa has been chosen. Not a settee. This is quite the sofa and will be delivered in about eight weeks. We are not in any advertised mock urgency: “just in time for Christmas” - why would you do that? Unless you chose a black one and could then ask the sales team if it could be delivered “just in time for grandads wake”? No. Stop it.
Girl In The Bubble back at school today after her rash episode. She will be pleased to go as she does like school.
Podiatrist today for a bit of foot carving - I do admire those who keep the arts and crafts movement alive.
Art bit - “there’s a boat out there”.
Hope today that you can escape the crush of circumstances. I try and chuck mine away, they are only my assumptions - best carried out in a sitting position and with koffy.
I think that Chat GBT's answer was spot on.Fbg 6.5
I had a really stressful day yesterday. I had to go and collect my owing medicines. The ones they didn't have when I went to collect my prescription.last week... I had to wait over two hours last week for them to make up this meds prescription. Then again when I went in yesterday, I had to wait nearly an hour in the pharmacy and there were no seats, while they made the owing meds prescription up. By the time I got home, I was more than absolutely shattered...my legs wouldn't work well. No, they don't deliver meds. Yes I have tried changing pharmacy, but despite what I did, the medicines kept being sent to the original pharmacy.
I had a rest but I really needed a whole day of rest before I sent my letter to PACT, at St Paul's, to ask for another optician for cataract post-op check up, because the optician they chose, would not get back to me and give me an appointment once I stated what appointment I needed from them. I tried for over a week. So much time wasted. It was too far to drive just to call-in.
PACT was a nightmare this time. It said on the site that could you find other methods of getting your messages through because we are inundated.
I am still stressed with the whole thing of the hospital cancelling the appointment days and times of operation, again and again.
So I tried to send the letter via the list of boxes they had for you to send the message, you had to fill in a whole load of little separate boxes of your details first. Then I put in the message. But then the first load of boxes all the details got wiped out when I pressed send, and I had to put them again. Then Capita's stupid bicycle boxes. Then it let me fill in the detail boxes again get the letter message in the message box stayed, but they asked me to fill in the detail boxes again. The merry go round went on and on. I spent two, maybe three hours trying to do this. Each time I send the personal details went out/off and it said you've got to fill these in when I had just filled these in. The whole thing was set up for failure so that you could not send your message.
I was literally at my wits end at this point. I felt like saying sod the bloody cataract post op check up.
Finally, on another page somewhere else, I found an email address for PACT at St Paul's, and I sent my letter that way. But by this time I was stressed to the max. And I had a meltdown....
I got confirmation PACT had received my email so now I have to wait....
Right... absolutely no computer time or computer work today I hate computer computers and technology. They can go for a long walk on a short pier and I hope the water fries all their circuits when they fall in it.
I have been having other problems with technology recently, and ChatGPT was helping me try to solve it. And it was saying go to advanced settings and alter these settings and that would sort it out.
Well, I reported back to ChatGPT, that it did not sort it. I explained what it was happening now. That's not supposed to happen says ChatGPT. Let's go through it again. I had done it right the first time.
I am very sorry said ChatGPT, I have failed. How about we leave it in the lap of the software gods and I'll try again in a weeks time....
This was Chat GPT's actual answer to me.
There is no hope for any of us....
Have your best kind of day....

A definite win for perseverance but what an awful spin on the roundabout that the NHS has created. I don’t think that they want anyone communicating with them.Fbg 6.5

A lot of this has led to powerlessness on our part. We have no control. We cannot access things anymore. And that's what leads to frustration and rage.Oh Gennepher, what a time you have with all your techie problems, plus medical service problems. Technology was supposed to have made things easier for everyone, but relying on it totally has had so many ramifications, and then, they have squeezed humans out of the systems so we have machines serving machines and humans take the hindmost.
How did we become so reliant of machines? Machines break down. Machines don't have any common sense. Actually, now that I come to think of it, many people seem to have lost their common sense these days. Is it something in the air? Or in the food? Or is it reliance on technology itself that has done it? I have also been wondering if it is a combination of food, environment and technology that has cause the rise in frustration, violence and rage that we see so often. Our generation has allowed something to happen while we were looking the other way that has left us with little sense of society or humanity. To an extent I am protected from it all on my little island, but not totally because, while not as awful as yours, our health service is much worse than it used to be. Common humanity has gone by the board here as well,to a great extent.
I believe calamitous is a word @dunelmA definite win for perseverance but what an awful spin on the roundabout that the NHS has created. I don’t think that they want anyone communicating with them.
We did last year individually change our nominated pharmacy on the NHS app and it did work for us on that occasion.
Calamitous - is that a word?
I have bought a refurbished iPhone to take over to France for my mother and have just spent two hours trying to ensure it works OK.I believe calamitous is a word @dunelm
I don't think anyone wants communication anymore. If there is no communication, then whatever firm it is, don't have to deal with it....
I have tried several times on the NHS app to change the nominated pharmacy. But each time it gets sent to the original pharmacy. The NHS app in Wales I think it's slightly different to the one in England but to be able to log into the NHS app in Wales I have to go through the NHS app in England, login there first, prove who I am each time, and then it will allow me to try, and I mean try to log into the NHS Wales App. Half the time I cannot get into it.
I even went to a pharmacy of my choice and explained my situation and the assistant they said she would go and sort it out and get my prescription delivered to their pharmacy. But she didn't succeed. ...
I give up....
I think that Chat GBT's answer was spot on.
There is no hope for any of us.... No wonder you were exhausted
I wouldn't be surprised if five year old granddaughter will have better luck tomorrow. It is quite scary just how good they are with technologyI have bought a refurbished iPhone to take over to France for my mother and have just spent two hours trying to ensure it works OK.
I don’t like iPhones.
I don’t own an iPhone.
It is now switched off and in a drawer.
I wonder if our five year old granddaughter will have better luck tomorrow.
Must remember to get some more Euro dosh.
