Yes, you are right @Annb, that it is much more of a worry for someone in their 20s as they have many many years of degeneration ahead of them. From what I can see online, there is also a link between this disorder and diabetes mellitus, NAFLD, CKD and hyperparathyroidism - all of which I have been diagnosed with, but I can't see anything about which is the cause and which the effect.
From what I can see Krystyna, CPEO is a disease that is either inherited, in which case it starts to affect people in their 20's and, being degenerative, it is a worry because it can shorten life, or it just appears out of nowhere (perhaps after an infection). In my case, at my age, there's not a lot of years left for too much degeneration, so it isn't a worry, or even any more than an irritant. I think this only began in my 60's, when nobody knew anything about it. Twenty years later, so far so good.
Tree pollen is also very bad at the moment here in Norfolk @gennepher. I am on in max dose of my AVogel allergy stuff.Fbg 6.3
I was photographing flowers in my garden today. Because of this fine spell of weather loads of stuff is now coming out from honesty to celendines, garlic, red Campion, wild violets, beautiful yellow dandelions, catkins are out (I have more than half a dozen willow trees), Jack by the Hedge, fumitory, chinoxia (but I think the badgers ate most of the chinoxia bulbs), mint is flowering, so is rosemary, many beautiful scented flowering evergreen shrubs, three of my forsythia bushes are flowering, the cherry tree is flowering, my several lilac trees are thinking of flowering, and much more, and I have a massive headache with my hayfever.....
I am having to keep the windows and doors closed.
I have bumblebees, other bees, loads of flying insects, I have had to rescue a few hornets that have come in my bungalow.
A pair of blackbirds and a pair of bluetits have nested in the front garden....
I stopped feeding the sparrows in the back garden because they are untidy eaters, and to make sure ratty and mousey keeps away.... and so this means I am not particularly aware of any sparrows nesting this year. Mr. Robin is around. And follows me when I'm in the garden. Mr. Magpie tries to steal the stray cats food during the day. Cats are fed once in morning and once at night now and so Mr. Magpie invites himself, and so does Mr Heffalump the pigeon, (although he seems a bit sad there is no bird food around anymore, however things will start to seed soon, and I have a lot of different kinds of grasses and grains.... and there are loads of worms for him).
And so my creative is of my red scented wallflowers...
Night night
Sweet dreams
