What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Can vividly imagine Midnights reaction to the ear drops.
Brings back memories of Errant who was so compliant that he sat on my legs, I put drops in, then massage drops deeper into his ears and he just sat there and let me do it. Only shaking his head a little after he had got off my lap.
I miss him still.

Great painting i would hang this on a wall.

Thanks @SlimLizzy
I think we all miss Errant...you especially....

Read your previous post, but had no idea how to comment or reply.
Am happy to read your report of lessening pain. Hope you can continue without the side effects soon.

Thanks @SlimLizzy

Maybe i should post a few of Kiki's recent exploits. She is getting to be quite a character, fortunately no longer so much in the French sense of the word.

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.

It would be a massive mistake to publish my blood sugars.

Last Saturday night, early Sunday morning I was admitted into hospital with low blood sugars, a life threatening 1.5 and was discharged from hospital late yesterday.afternoon.
Throughout this recent stay in hospital, I found the staff brilliant. In hindsight I the time and motion consultants have been brought in.

I have a number of medical issues rattling around at the moment and the medics are looking for a cause, heart, lungs, liver, existing medication etc, etc and the medics due to my dangerously low blood sugars in the middle of the night have fitted me with a Freestyle Libre 2 plus sensor. Also they have taken me off some of my medications and decreased the dosage of others. Warfarin, Insulin.

During my younger life sporting or otherwise I have had a number of close calls, but Saturday night, Monday morning was the closest according to the medics.

Now it is 18:07 on a Friday night and it ain’t alright for fighting. These days

Realy pleased for you and yours that the medics sorted you out. Recovering from 1.5, what can one say. I hope that the alarm system on the Libre 2 paired with your phone keeps you for diving into that again. Glad you are back.

1.5! My goodness. Thank heaven they took you into hospital and that you now have a Libre sensor. It is a really useful tool and will help you to keep track of your BG.

That was a really scarily close call @alf_Josiah. I am so pleased that the medics sorted you out.

I don't think I posted fbg today. It was 6.7.
Today has flown by. It started with a walk in the park, then Bonnie's trainer came, then lunch, another dog walk, then admin and then classes.
Not forgetting several cups of coffee.
A good day - now some relaxing and reading time - and just maybe one more coffee.

Great to see you are still rattling around Alf....
Lots of gentle hugs for you....
@alf_Josiah

Fbg 6.7 for Friday

Creative...Speedwell...
A pretty little wild flower...

From Google: "Germander speedwell (Veronica chamaedrys) has been used traditionally for various purposes, including as a remedy for respiratory issues, nervous system disorders, and even as a tea substitute. It also serves as a valuable nectar source for solitary bees and food source for certain butterflies and moths. "

It would be nice to see Kiki again, and in her new surroundings... and then we can have a peek also where you are now @SlimLizzy
It's been a while and I'm not quite sure how to post photos now.
Oh well. Here goes.
If it works it's Kiki enjoying the last rays of the evening sun. At that time the sun had left the garden entirely, you can see by the shadows on the wall, but up on there it's still shining.

This was at about 8pm this evening. I was still out there weeding. Sounds bad, but we had been out most of the day and the weeds are flourishing. MrSlim had made dinner so afterwards I popped outside to water and continue the clearing.
The house had been empty over a year and we think the garden neglected before then so masses of weeds in the overgrown flower beds, knee high grass and a jungle of bamboo, brambles and reeds (?)plus weeds and tussock grass at the end. After three months am still only halfway down one side and maybe a third down the other. But it's progress.
We have some beautiful roses.

Have no idea how many library books I read in a week when I was 11, but I stopped at the library on my way home from school, read until it closed maybe more than one book and then took three books home with me.
A less generous allowance than yours gennepher.
Usually I would return all three the next day and repeat the process. Sunday's were hell, I frequently ran out of books and had to watch tv with my siblings.

Four pounds to sit for 15 minutes with the cats! Money for old rope. Not even time for a cup of tea, that's if they serve food and drinks?
And I love your tale about the visit to the library fourteen books, that should keep you quiet for a day or two.
If the system is still the same you can return them at your local library.
