Last night Olivia arrived & we checked the web site at Battersea...so I am registered with two animal rescues now...we both agreed it is far better to 'rescue' a kitty and we spent an hour cooing over the cats needing a new home so we made a good start...when she is free we will have a wander down to the centre...it's odd I wonder if it's the cat that needs rescuing or is it me in need of rescue...just a thought.
Small triangular parcels of crispy pastry filled with spicy meat or vegetables...an Asian delicacy...they are delicious.I don't even know what samosas are! Maybe that's a good thing ... "where ignorance is bliss ..." lol
Thank you. They sound delicious.Small triangular parcels of crispy pastry filled with spicy meat or vegetables...an Asian delicacy...they are delicious.
A dark and tragic place indeed @ianpspurs but unlike Lear you have support and family around you, I wish you well and a fair wind to guide you through the storm. But where the greater malady is fixed The lesser is scarce felt. They do have a photo gallery where you can view the kitties & read a brief history...there are so many elderly cats its sad...so while it was a positive step I couldn't help but have a tear in my eye wondering why some at age 10 & upwards no longer have a home.Do the rescue centres present the cats in a tinder like fashion, so you just swipe left or right..
Now it's shown it's hand hopefully some antibiotics will put that chest infection firmly in its place (providing you can take AB's)… I'm sure it's me that's more in need of a kitty this is the first time in 40 years we haven't had a fur baby of some kind without one the house feels 'sterile'...I am feeling positive about a new addition...thank you.6.3 this morning and my suspected chest infection has finally shown its face. I have a doc appointment for this morning.
I suspect more than a grain of truth in that thought. It is lovely that you can consider it, and I'm sure your new family additions will give wings to that thought.

Thanks @Muddy Cyclist. Not so much dark and tragic as requiring a better algorithm - if statements need more thought - sequencing problem really. @OldButBold hope the antibiotics work pronto.A dark and tragic place indeed @ianpspurs but unlike Lear you have support and family around you, I wish you well and a fair wind to guide you through the storm.
Morning all. Today is a BOHICA day in my world. Fbg 5.8 and weight nearly back to 2017 levels (+at least 2kgs from last 2 years). Both of those are predictable from side effects of 2 new drugs and no amount of 20 gms carb days has much impact. LCHF appears to be the sworn enemy of some of us prone to gout. This causes lack of movement dealt with by Naproxen and codeine which causes lack of movement. elsewhere. Those are not the elephant in the room right now but they do need attention, if only to provide the best platform for dealing with problem #1. The humane mousetrap bated with high end chocolate failed to do the job (told ya @DJC3 ) so Amazon same day delivered 2 cheapy bated killers latish last night. 5.45 this morning, 1 dead mouse. Can't help thinking there's a sermon linking the parts of this post. Have a great Friday.

Ooh it was so difficult looking through the gallery Saskia...I'd be tempted to take all of themMy goodness, Battersea has a very talented kitty photographer! It was good to see that so many kitties have been reserved or have already found new homes. ^. .^
I have a Cardinal Red Doorstep dunelm...I remember my mum polishing our old one many years ago with Cardinal Doorstep Polish...I'm not sure if I'd go that far but a second coat wouldn't go astray.Have a great day if you can, scrub your front step and paint with cardinal red if you can’t.
