What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

It's a good point, @HarryBeau
It's very much a symbiotic relationship.
And I'm never sure that us humans don't get the best part of the deal, even though it may not always look like that.......

Good luck finding a happy furry partner,
And lovely as the pedigrees are, I don't think they linger for too long unwanted..

Black cats however still suffer from the witchcraft element even today and likely more so with the social media crowd as they are definitely more difficult to capture with engaging, photogenic pictures on a Web page.

Do the rescue centres present the cats in a tinder like fashion, so you just swipe left or right..

Happy hunting for the purrfect match.

Morning...ooh been up for an hour forgot to test...didn't seem as important as putting things in perspective over a coffee...just had an email from Battersea asking me to come into one of their rehoming centres… they have a large numbers of cats to rehome so possibly next week I'll take a wander down there weekends are not the best time to go...waiting for the expected rain/thunderstorms oddly I enjoy watching the rain when I'm safe indoors with a coffee & an old black & white film...tested with a 6.8

I don't even know what samosas are! Maybe that's a good thing ... "where ignorance is bliss ..." lol
Small triangular parcels of crispy pastry filled with spicy meat or vegetables...an Asian delicacy...they are delicious.

But where the greater malady is fixed The lesser is scarce felt. Thou’dst shun a bear, But if thy flight lay toward the raging sea Thou’dst meet the bear i' th' mouth
A dark and tragic place indeed @ianpspurs but unlike Lear you have support and family around you, I wish you well and a fair wind to guide you through the storm.

6.3 this morning and my suspected chest infection has finally shown its face. I have a doc appointment for this morning.

it's odd I wonder if it's the cat that needs rescuing or is it me in need of rescue...just a thought.

I suspect more than a grain of truth in that thought. It is lovely that you can consider it, and I'm sure your new family additions will give wings to that thought.

They do have a photo gallery where you can view the kitties & read a brief history...there are so many elderly cats its sad...so while it was a positive step I couldn't help but have a tear in my eye wondering why some at age 10 & upwards no longer have a home.

My caregiver just leapt up onto my stomach ... funny, it was she who let out the yowl ... I have a feeling she and I are going to pull another all-nighter as it is now 3am and we are wide awake!^. .^

Now it's shown it's hand hopefully some antibiotics will put that chest infection firmly in its place (providing you can take AB's)… I'm sure it's me that's more in need of a kitty this is the first time in 40 years we haven't had a fur baby of some kind without one the house feels 'sterile'...I am feeling positive about a new addition...thank you.

I wonder if they have a matchmaking service to match up elderly kitties with elderly humans. I have heard of some shelters that try this.

I hope the doc will give you something to knock that infection back where it came from. Take care.

Thanks @Muddy Cyclist. Not so much dark and tragic as requiring a better algorithm - if statements need more thought - sequencing problem really. @OldButBold hope the antibiotics work pronto.

When sorrows come, they come not single spies, but in battalions -
The miserable have no other medicine, but only hope.

Hope that your day is a good one

Sorry about all the conflicting ailments and drugs, must be a nightmare to navigate through.
Re chocolate and mice though - hardly surprising they didn’t like your Montezuma’s it doesn’t have sugar in so why would they?

Good morning from a very quiet and sunny Friday morning at the little house on the prairie- a false sense of security moment I feet.

The wonder wheel of shouting at the telly last night rewarded all efforts with a 5.4 this am.

Cleaning jobs today - hooray! Makes you glad that you are alive - so exciting.

Have a great day if you can, scrub your front step and paint with cardinal red if you can’t.

Have a good Friday. Stay well, stay safe.

My goodness, Battersea has a very talented kitty photographer! It was good to see that so many kitties have been reserved or have already found new homes. ^. .^
Ooh it was so difficult looking through the gallery Saskia...I'd be tempted to take all of them

I have a Cardinal Red Doorstep dunelm...I remember my mum polishing our old one many years ago with Cardinal Doorstep Polish...I'm not sure if I'd go that far but a second coat wouldn't go astray.
