That's interesting - they must be all over the country.5.2 for me today at 5am. It’s probably higher now tbh. I’m staying in bed until the heating comes on, tiptoed out to get coffee first.
@gennepher those are absolutely stunning photos, the top one should be framed.
@Krystyna23040 I’ve seen those ladies too, although I thought they were part of an Alan Titchmarsh fan club as they were at Cliveden where he was appearing to open a new bit of garden. They looked great though and I love that poem.
Lol...never doubted it for a moment!Yes of course I do but not when they are clawing their way up the almost new sofa...or my leg:***::***::***:
Good luck with the eye injection today..I have the third of this course on Friday. It is very encouraging that you got 5 years from the first lot. Hope Archie gets on ok too. Best wishes for both of you.Almost forgot fbs - 5.6 this morning. Taking our 13yr Archie to the vet. He had a 'wash and brush up ' yesterday and groomer flagged up that one of his pads was swollen and red. He is walking ok and not licking it but it will be good to catch it before it causes him problems.
Eye clinic tonight for eye injection. When the scans were done in the summer the doctor diagnosed that the macular oedema was in both eyes and both would need to be injected. But when it came to it the decision was made only to inject one eye because of the expense of the injections (£600 each) and they said that the 2nd eye wasn't quite bad enough to inject.
This has been really worrying me over the last few months - so I am really pleased that the eye now meets the criteria for an injection. Strangely - instead of worrying about the injection as I normally do - I feel elated. The sight in the eye will be saved.
The last time that eye was injected was 2015 - so hopefully once the 3 monthly injections have been done there will be another 5 year gap.
Just remembered...take a look at the cat anti scratching tape for sofas etc on Amazon. My sofas are beyond saving but when we move and get new ones will defo try it.Yes of course I do but not when they are clawing their way up the almost new sofa...or my leg:***::***::***:
Thanks PM will head over there now...I'm also hunting some hair ties & socks which mysteriously have gone missing...wonder how that happened!Just remembered...take a look at the cat anti scratching tape for sofas etc on Amazon. I hope so too Krystyna...good luck.so hopefully once the 3 monthly injections have been done there will be another 5 year gap.
@gennepher scrolling back that is one amazing photo of the night sky. Thanks for uploading. I struggle with that, when No 2 son shows me it is so easy and then I forget.
Thanks so much I use an ipad dont have a smart phone, though that will change in new year. I will try to post photo of the girls by emailing it to myself and then doctoring it for now. Your suggestions will be helpful when I get an (older edition) iphone.View attachment 37260
I was just trying an experiment here...
I normally just use the web page for this site, even on my phone because then I can use the full range of emojis and see them.
I had an idea, so went to the app which I rarely use, (I only have this app on my old iPhone) and it will reduce the file size automatically for you (you choose the lower size option it offers you and that uses less of your phone data too). So I used Popeye’s photo and it reduced the file size for me
So second pic, a screenshot, of the process is

I clicked the bottom size choice as it is less data to upload.
I haven’t got the app on my Android because I am filling my space up rapidly. And consequently to post my photos from the Android, I have to reduce the file size via another app and then I can upload it on to this site on the web. So, this means I don’t know how the app for this site behaves or what are the steps for uploading photos via the Android app. It won’t be vastly different.
Have a go! We would love to see photos of the girls!
By the way when I first tried this uploading lark of photos on to this site, I did make a mess of it, and yes panic set in! Maybe some one else can explain the above better than I can!
Thank you for the compliment on the photo. I appreciate it.
(I hope this all works when I press ‘reply’!)
Beautiful gennepher(I hope this all works when I press ‘reply’!)

Eight jars of my atomic mince meat laced with brandy mulled wine & best port...in addition to 4 dozen mince tarts heading for our office tomorrow accompanied by the largest pot of extra thick double cream & a can of spray cream for the plebs among them.
ps. all packed away in the cake tins so I'm not tempted (again)
I did try a couple last night gennepher...just to make sure there were no soggy bottoms today I have decided to be mostly carb free...they won'tlast more than half an hour at our office & my colleagues look forward to some home made baking...I won't upload a photo of my friend Henry's flourless triple dark chocolate cake...making him one for his father to share on Christmas day has become a tradition...his father is coeliac so cannot eat a regular cake...this one if perfect for him & also contains 300gms of the highest cocoa solid % I can find...that may be too much for youI am drooling @HarryBeau ....
Archie got on well. Vet thinks it is a benign lump on his pad which may grow or may stay the same. If it grows it will need to be taken off because it will interfere with his walking. So it's a wait and see. The vet said that he is in great shape for a 13 year old chocolate Labrador.Good luck with the eye injection today..I have the third of this course on Friday. It is very encouraging that you got 5 years from the first lot. Hope Archie gets on ok too. Best wishes for both of you.
Oh no - I saw your pictures before I saw your warning. They look seriously amazing.****** warning this post contains really offensive content if you are a diabetic of a nervous disposition look away*******
