What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Much respect for you attitude to life..much to teach me and others i think.
Applies to you as well young man. Go well.

would that not be natural..?

assuming our bodies NEED a certain amount of everything, or we'd die.

it just takes care of business quietly so we can go about ours.

i see it as it works when it has to ..pre v post meals..
and when it has nothing to do..as in fasting..it just keeps the engine ticking over in case it's needed later.

If you will, pre dx we bounced of the walls damaging ourselves each time as we desperately looked for ways to stay within our own corridor of safety.

When finally we get a little guidance and a better understanding of just WHAT signifies safety..

we bounce off the walls less.
and THAT improves each day as we eat better and take better care.

Although stress, illness, etc can impact and send us off kilter, until we right the boat and begin our journey one more time.

And for me, YOUR corridor of safety was safely traversed..so a WIN for you.

Thank you @PenguinMum

I need the juice as well, that is what helps too.
I had a very small portion last night, so obviously that didn’t work either.

Glad you liked the painting. Some of those paths down cliffs to the beach are very overgrown by hawthorn and blackthorn and you feel you have no idea where you are going to end up...

You have a good day as well.

Thank you @DJC3
I am glad you like the painting.
I am working on my problem, but I am still shocked with the medical profession’s only solution of ‘just take more diabetic meds’.
I can understand more meds are absolutely vital in some circumstances.
There has to be other options...
Have a good day.

Yup
Me Clint Eastwood...

Subtitles were there in the trailer...
Looks a very good film.

You are right, we don't control this condition. But I don't think it is really in control either. I do think you keep on keeping on very well. Jesus told Paul "It is hard to kick against the pricks." But I think we have to, when the results of the fingerpricks start to weigh us down.

BTW, what are facias and soffits?

Good morning/afternoon everyone. 7.6 this morning.

I know of two streets called Euclid Avenue. They do not meet at any angle other than one somewhere up in space bouncing off a satellite. On one of these streets there used to be a high school, where I assume geometry was taught. I know it had a lovely auditorium, which contained X number of right angles, plus a balcony set at some acute angle above the stage (for the acute-stics, you know).

With all these houses going on the market and all these hopes of moving someplace better, I wish we could all follow one of @gennepher 's paths or cross one of @Muddy Cyclist 's seas to a village we could all live in that we could call McGarrett on the Plain, or perhaps Cream in Coffee. Other names available*.

I was just watching my favourite LCHF/Keto doc on Youtube and he has produced this video on the Coronavirus. Included here for information purposes

There has been a major exodus from Much Carbing to Little Carbing. Reportedly due to the craft ale Ketobrew in the local hostelry the Tee2 Arms and the live music from the Carnivores - some of their early tunes were, admittedly, Offal.

You remind me of Francis of Assisi, who called his body "Brother Ass" -- I don't know how he meant that but reading your post I thought of mine as a good servant, always on call, like a horse in a stable. (I did watch rather a lot of Downtown Abbey yesterday ... )

Yes you are right and though it reminded me so much of that path I confess we never used it in the dark. Re your reply to @DJC3 I think one of the frustrating things with treatment is when they dont consider whats best for all your ailments.
Re replacing the juice can I suggest the thread “what have you eaten today” which I engage in. There are some very good (and friendly and helpful) folk on there who often come up with a recipe adapted for LC. I seem to remember someone made a good lemon drink.

I was only thinking about skipping over the weekend and remembering all the hours of skipping as a child. So thanks for the sweet emoticon. Fascias and soffits are the boards between the roof and the walls to keep rain and small animals out and to which guttering is attached to feed the rainwater from the roof into the downpipes on the walls. I have three water butts that the pipes feed into which I use on the garden during dry spells.
I like the sound of Little Carbing and if the Tee2 Arms stocks decent gin and books @Muddy Cyclist band then I think a grand old time will be had! Needless to say folk could bring their dogs with a separate play area for cats and special menus for all concerned.
That is a wonderful dream, dont you think?

PS. @SaskiaKC I miss Downton Abbey. Have you seen the movie they made when the series ended? I think they might make another.

ButI am still here, to mither you all with my daily painting challenge...creaking gates last the longest...
Mither away to your hearts content @gennepher. Liked today's, reminded me of a Welsh slate path I know in Ogden Valley and a slate fence that runs along its side, you have caught the light so well.

Back from a really good Muddy Work Out, 4 hours, my friend took some photos which he's supposed to send me but non arrived yet.

Busy learning Little Red Rooster for a gig, looked out of window to see this sunset behind some trees, a moment when the trees were back lit. A very quick watercolour 10 mins to capture the moment, A5 size.

Thats beautiful dont know how you could do that in 10 mins. Amazing and thank you. Yourself and @gennepher have certainly made grey January more bearable with your art.

@Muddy Cyclist after 4 hrs of cycling you need to be recovering ice bath anyone? not giving ratings.
No rest for the wicked!

Spent the afternoon trying to emulate a rolling stone, watching videos of them performing Little Red Rooster had me asking "why did we think they were so rebellious back in the 60s? "

Guitar part sorted now to learn the harmonica part.
