I am feeling better Saskia thank you...still not a 100% but will be soon fingers crossed...those two with the snow watching them encounter something they never seen before wonderful would you believe it's bright sunshine now.@HarryBeau I hope you are continuing to feel better. I loved your story of Charlie and Lola and the snow!
@OldButBold Peace and good wishes for the MRI. And thank you again for starting this thread and inviting me to join. Are you still cat sitting?
Made me remember once we had very deep snow and I dug a channel from the back door to the shed to get the logs in. Turned around and just caught Ginger’s tail above the gorge heading for the shed...clearly he thought I had done it for him to catch some mice. Amused me no end. Btw I love how those moggies in the photo have posed like a group in a wedding photo.I am feeling better Saskia thank you...still not a 100% but will be soon fingers crossed...those two out with the snow made ,me laugh wonderful watching encounter something they've never seen before would you believe it's bright sunshine now.
Ahh bless him I hope you never let on...yes it's a bit like family group at the wedding when the photographer has had to work hard to assemble them.I had done it for him to catch some mice

@gennepher Thank you for posting your lovely painting. It looks warm and summery to me, and I am glad to learn that the process of painting helps you with pain. I can go into another zone of time and space when writing or playing music, and also when riding a horse. It is a good place to be.
Hello @DJC3
Thank you for your post
I haven’t tried CBD oil, I don’t know much about it so will look on line.
Are you still using it? I’m pleased that it’s helped your neuropathic pain, I’m at the stage where I’ll give anything a go.
Hi @DJC3
Yes, I have tried CBD oil.
I have Sjogrens Syndrome, and Fibromyalgia. I get (or had) brain fog and I'd had that for many years. It was getting worse in 2017. So I took CBD oil to help with that. By 4 days later I was very aware the CBD oil was helping me become more mentally alert again and things weren't such a struggle. I didn't take it for pain, but I did notice at the time the peripheral neuropathy pain in my toes eased a little.
A friend started taking it at the same time as me. We had been talking about it. I was unsure of taking it. But she takes a higher dose than I do. She hasn't told me her dosage, but she knows my dosage. And she has chosen a different brand than I have. I have chosen to take mine before I got to sleep.
I could take more, but I haven't. I have no other reason for not taking more other than this was the first time in years I had my prior mental alertness back which is amazing to me. And I did not want to upset any delicate balance that might be there. I am just being very careful.
Thank you for suggesting it.
My toes are giving me gyp now with the peripheral neuropathy (I have just got in bed and it can get especially worse then) , but I am not tempted to try a higher dose of the CBD oil to see if that would work, because I got from the CBD oil what I wanted from it which was to banish the brain fog and it got me my mental alertness back.
Thank you @gennepher and @Cumberland for giving me some insight into what neuropathy pain is like. Both my sister and my brother suffer from this. Sister had to retire from work early as she cannot feel her fingers or her feet brother got neuropathy in his feet as a result of cancer treatment. I am sure I will have more sympathy for them in the future. Hope you find something to try that takes the pain away.
Have you heard anything regarding your cochlea implant @gennepher or it is too soon yet? Loved the artwork by the way, liked the bright colours and there was a lightness to the picture I thought.

Thanks one and all for your encouragement re HbAa1c numbers.
No choir rehearsal tonight as without driving many miles we can't cross the river seven. The river crossings we make at ironbridge are closed because of the river seven levels. We cross at Coalbrook Over a very old bridge info here ....
The famous bridge of cast iron was built in 1818 and unlike its even more famous neighbour at Ironbridge, still takes vehicular traffic, albeit limited to a single line of traffic, a 3-tonne weight limit and a height restriction of 6 ft 6in (1.98 m). It was restored and strengthened in 2004. The bridge links Coalport with Broseley, a small town approximately a mile (1.6 km) away.
Locals are saying this bridge is now a concern as so much traffic used it over the last few days, it seems we have no route to Broseley left so all music, choirs, folk group, recorders are on hold until the river levels drop. I feel sorry for all those flooded out, terrible.
So I had the time to paint a proper picture rather than sketch. Fed up with winter so looked at photos from a Campervan road trip on the Wedt Coast of Scotland this is Morar Bay white sand beaches looking across to Sky. I was fascinated by the fence post and colour of the sea, did lots of sketches and now have completed the painting. Two hours mostly spent on the post. Water colour A4 size. Out of interest there was lots of snow about but this is sand..
