Thanks one and all for your encouragement re HbAa1c numbers.
No choir rehearsal tonight as without driving many miles we can't cross the river seven. The river crossings we make at ironbridge are closed because of the river seven levels. We cross at Coalbrook Over a very old bridge info here ....
The famous bridge of cast iron was built in 1818 and unlike its even more famous neighbour at Ironbridge, still takes vehicular traffic, albeit limited to a single line of traffic, a 3-tonne weight limit and a height restriction of 6 ft 6in (1.98 m). It was restored and strengthened in 2004. The bridge links Coalport with Broseley, a small town approximately a mile (1.6 km) away.
Locals are saying this bridge is now a concern as so much traffic used it over the last few days, it seems we have no route to Broseley left so all music, choirs, folk group, recorders are on hold until the river levels drop. I feel sorry for all those flooded out, terrible.
So I had the time to paint a proper picture rather than sketch. Fed up with winter so looked at photos from a Campervan road trip on the Wedt Coast of Scotland this is Morar Bay white sand beaches looking across to Sky. I was fascinated by the fence post and colour of the sea, did lots of sketches and now have completed the painting. Two hours mostly spent on the post. Water colour A4 size. Out of interest there was lots of snow about but this is sand..

Rupert the neighborhood cat used to let himself in and out of my garage through the cat flap. He came to eat the food I put out for him and the possums and raccoons.
My girlcats would watch him through the patio door and even flirt with him a little, but the few times I let him into the house they would fuss at him and me.
sounds good to me..order it to be delivered and we will get on with it. Everyone on board.![]()
bit of paint, one BIG dog and that'll come up lovely..

i'l ask @PenguinMum to get the paint in.
we'll make a start on it, when we get to her house during the EOTW ZA cook out.
had previous experience in a Vehicle paint shop..it'll be good.
Nice Painting, btw..very real.. yet surreal, if there is such a thing
OK, but I draw the designs, here is one I really like and it fits in with ZA.... plus a Campervan and a half.![]()

Thanks for the painting compliment, those Scottish White Beaches are very exotic.
My apologies. I don't know what "mithered" means. Is it anything like "mothered"?
Here we are once again separated by this common language of ours.
They muttered dire threats at him and complained to me.

mither
verb
NORTHERN ENGLISH
past tense: mithered; past participle: mithered
- make a fuss; moan.
"oh men—don't they mither?"
- pester or irritate (someone).
"the pile of bills would mither her whenever she felt good"
It may frighten your neighboursI would like to borrow that rig for my move.![]()
Inspiration for a painting."The gale had blown itself out into a wonderful fresh day, with clear spaces of sky, and a high wind rolling boulders of cumulus down the blue slopes of air."
--Clouds of Witness, by Dorothy L. Sayers
I just read it and wanted to share it here; my phone took some convincing that I really did not mean boulders of vinyl!![]()

As long as we can find a guide dog for my blind dog Labrador Moet only does most elegant so all must follow his example as seen here.....and look a mobile kennel for scoobie doo's and scappy-do's, and all the cats..(we ARE bringing the Cats and dogs RIGHT)

Are you still sure you want to take cats and dogs?
I am sorry you will miss the music. I know how that feels.
I love the painting. I saw sea water that color on Magnum the other day, so, with the white sugar sands in your painting and photo, I feel I am seeing very exotic locales! And the fenceposts add a rusticity that I like a lot.
Wilfrid is looking very smart and spruce too.
Thank you for posting these.![]()
the BLUE letter is the LINK @SaskiaKC ..i did think you wouldn't understand it, hence why i put it in..
northern word, not one i would normally use
here we say "You trying to MUG me off"...or some such
anyway word means
It may frighten your neighbours![]()
