What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

It could seem to some that I have been bigging up a supermarket chain with M as a first letter. I know this site does not allow advertising so of course other supermarkets are available. My personal choice is the one starting with W ( better class of eccentric and I meet old school friends and relatives) my real dislike is the one with T. The ones with A and L are fine and the one with S would be if the nearest one was not in the county's ar*ehole, .

@Ziggy2017 Good luck with coat delivery. Some posters are feeling the cold so you may need it. Is mustard this autumn's colour? @PenguinMum why insulin at that level doesn't seem outrageously high? Higher than one might want but insulin high?
@ianpspurs it seems to be but I’ve always liked mustard for autumn very nice warm colour not sure how it will go with pink hair though lol

@heavyd is there any reason why it's in the 8's. I'm new and learning. Is it the dawn thingy, can't spell it. I just didn't want to agree or hug if you get my drift. Just interested.
It should be. I have been having higher figures for the past 1 week and with this 8.4 it has gone down a bit. Although I have been eating high carbohydrates food all along. Added with the dawn thing again that's it.

That made me laugh @ianpspurs . It’s quite amazing that with single letter abbreviations we know exactly what you mean. Even your clever pairing of A & L made sure we knew you weren’t referring to the other A which will have been disappointed to not get a mention!

@ianpspurs @DJC3 - morning brightness has given way to pouring rain. Shorts and flip flops worn to swimming this morning have been replaced by hoody and tracky bottoms for lounging on the sofa, which is a novel experience in itself.

On the topic of large hunks of meat, there is a beef short rib on the go here. And @ianpspurs I’ve just downed a pint of tea with almond milk!

I usd to love a pasty from the local baker is possible on my many visits. I have never used lo dough but wondered if you could make a type of pasty because the filling isnt really that much of a problem. What do you think?

I guess it could be a possibility if the filling was cooked separately to begin with. Not sure how lodough would take to that long in the oven. Maybe mozzarella pastry might work.... you’ve got me thinking now!

Well there's Bodmin, Liskeard, Newquay or Bude and if you fancy a day out to Plymouth there's one there too.

Thanks, Bodmin’s not too far but I think I’ll stick to the local butcher, he’s great.

Ooh beef short rib, lovely. That’s on my list for IP soon.

@Goonergal The tea and almond milk would go really well with Callebaut 100%. Long trousers/tracky bottoms and hoodies are defo for October at the earliest. (My winter kit is black walking trousers and black lightweight fleece. I have a draw full of Toggi and Barbour socks but the softest come from Lidl = all part of Hygge phase)
@DJC3 Is that svelt young lady in your avatar the new you?

Yes it’s me! Thought I’d better put a photo up before the event next week or noone would recognise me and I’d be sat on my own in the corner like Billy-no-mates!
