What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.3 today and slept until 6.30 so improvements all round. @Goonergal shorts until October but looking at the hedgerows I am going to order a full load of logs this year and have a feeling we will be very thankful for a 4 x 4.
Currently heating the oven to its hottest to start cooking a large joint of pork (will blast for 1/2 hr then down really low for hrs) as we are having 88 year old MIL to lunch and she will facetime the 2 granddaughters in Southampton. (MIL has nothing to do with the size of pork joint it is just clear the freezers time- amazing what is in them)

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen. If you don't qualify as either of those then good luck and may the laws of chance look favourably on you. Except those lying, cheating, expense fiddling politicians. There that feels betterer.

If you eat Chinese food and have peanuts for afters then you must expect a reading of 8.2 silly Billy.

Well folks have a good bank holiday Sunday. I hope to.

Good morning. My run of 5's ends with a 6.0, but that is OK. Still wearing shorts...was only 16 degrees on the beach yesterday but the out of the wind it was lovely and sunny. Raining today, so might put the running shorts on and do something useful and have a jog. It's a bit hilly around here, so it won't be quick.

Morning all
6.5 this morning and an upward trend the last few days, no idea why.
@Goonergal you’re braver than me - I’ve been digging out the thermal vests I bought for the trip to Iceland!
@Krystyna23040 hope you’re not coming downbwith something and you feel ok soon.
@ianpspurs, that pork sounds great, but I did smile as I read it - assuming the enormous joint was in honour of one dainty old lady. Have a good day.

@DJC3 Thermals? base layers are for January and strictly no heating or this year's logs before Advent Sunday at the earliest - and not the one that starts after Nov 11th. The pork is a cut down piece from one of Morrisons huge shoulder joints about 4kgs for £12. I feel like Richard Turpin at the checkout ( what does one do if one is called ****?)

Good morning All. 5.7 today yah!! I have been eating so little and all low carb (except one battered fish) that I have been going hungry to get this level. I am home for 2 days so am going to relax as much as possible.
Have a good day everyone. Take care if out and about later.

Needs must re thermals I’m afraid - I’m just checking I know where they are at the mo.
Stockpiling logs is Mr Cs domain. Hope he’s taking it seriously.
Morrisons seems to be a pretty good supermarket - they encourage people to take their own containers for deli meat to save plastic bags don’t they?

@PenguinMum Eating little and going hungry to lower bg levels can carry a real sting in the tail for relationship with food. I would use a very long spoon when supping with that particular Devil

They do encourage people to take their own containers. Re deli meat the branch near us can't tell me carb content but Waitrose in town are happy to so I wouldn't buy from deli counter. With IP, M's meaty bones are also unbelievably cheap and effective - we could probably get enough meat for a meal for 2 costing £2.50. They also deliver from warehouses not branches - ours comes from Milton Keynes which is 50+ miles away and our son, in Suffolk, had a delivery from Ipswich, 44 miles away. Last bit of advertising, we found if we shop online they randomly throw in free gifts and offers e.g. a leg of lamb for £7 - most supermarkets can't spoil lamb. They also sell rolls of crackling to roast yourself - always think of @Goonergal when I see those ( we have some roasting atm)
