Having lived in both Devon and Cornwall I some times get it confused myself but as you said either way it tastes incredibly good..But I think @JohnEGreen said this was from Devon? In which case it’s proper for them.

Looking at the image again, I realise I could never eat anything from a plate with a pattern on. Plain white only please. Not sure if that makes me OCD but it does mean eating out is often not at all tempting.The scone is a large round cake of scone and made by them to their own recipe and is a cake of scone so what you have is a slice of the scone like you would have a slice out of a chocolate cake or some such. And the first time I went there I was about ten years old one of those golden childhood memories.
Problem though since I was last there it's under new management and reports are not so good utter disaster and I am desolate.
They still do the scone cake though when next I go down will have to investigate.

@ding79 Over 3 years of readings recorded in my mega spreadsheet book show first 2 readings of the day considerably higher than all others. So, do what Frankie says. As long as all readings trend down it's all gravy7.6 this morning. Looks like i falsely accused the M6 of causing my higher levels. This morning stuff is quite confusing as readings the rest of the day are in the 4s and 5s. Looks like i'm just going yo have to get used to it for the time being. Hugs to all.
