. Also, those weight and body fat numbers nail the idea that weight and fat are all that explain T2.
Fascinating idea of what a teachers' "rest room" is like now. Good analysis of what it was like 40 years ago when I started teaching. Last 20-25 years most "teams" had bases and combined into faculties - usually with 1 AST per faculty. That analogy is quite apt IMHO - some members with advanced skills whose results and, especially, methods are something we feel we can follow.
BTW at least 25 years ago we were all told repeatedly there are no naughty kids, just bad teachers. It is all about differentiation - which was alf's - @alf_Josiah - message.
Just brilliant. You look amazing.
remember say something nice to somebody you don't like, that should worry them.
Only edited twice need koffy.
I hope you don't think my post was judgemental regarding your signature. It was meant in exactly the opposite - for people not to get into a blame game. Please don't leave this thread and if you took my post as pointing that way I will happily delete it.5.4 today..
I realize that weight is not a big issue for all Type 2s but for me and others I know it has been. My numbers are posted not to say that it explains Type 2 but because it's been a struggle for me to get closer to a normal weight for 50 years. For many of us, it is IS a big factor.
Carrying over a 100 extra lbs has had a big impact on me. Every single medical professional I've ever dealt with all of my life has told me about the risk of my morbid obesity to my heart, my joints and my body in general. I have tried unsuccessfully for 50 years to lose it.
Now I've lost a lot of it, I find daily living so much easier, going for walks, going up and down stairs, even bending down to pick up things off the floor. Do I have the body and fitness of a 25 year old? Obviously not but I am healthier now than I have been in many years.
I'm strongly considering not posting here anymore because of this negative judgmental comment that applies to my signature and my posts..
Ouch john...I've broken several toes...painful and there's nothing much you can do with them!) and have broken my little toe!! Cue lots and lots of swearing and a blackened toe nail and a very swollen toe!! Oh how I laughed!
This to me is the most friendly and supportive thread on the forum. HOWEVER there is a little bit of disquiet creeping in and I dont like it. I know it is about posting FBG with chat but that chat should be anything that we want it to be. There is such variance between our individual levels, aims, HBA1c, diet, damage, side effects, levels of carbs that we are happy with and so many other things that Diabetis throws at us. Whether we are aiming lower, struggling with higher, have weight to lose or weight to conserve lets all be friendly and tolerant. Best wishes.
Really are there new rules on the forum?...many here discuss their weight...unless it's a hard & fast rule CC ignore it...sounds ridiculous TBH.Apparently I'm NOT welcome to post about my weight anymore...
CC I had another read of the post that offended you...there is a lot of ambiguity in it however I think it is meaning that weight is not the only determining factor in T2 diabetes...often we are portrayed as lazy obese sloths who bring this on ourselves therefore it's somehow deserved (by those who know little about it possibly Daily Mail readers...apologies in advance to any D>Mail readers here.)..there are other factors in developing T2 such as a genetic pre-disposition... a family history...while not very subtle I don't think the post was aimed at you or anyone else here...or meant to be accusatory...it looks like a misunderstanding to me...please don't take it personally.I'm strongly considering not posting here anymore because of this negative judgmental comment that applies to my signature and my posts..
Rightly or wrongly I assume as @Chronicle_Cat quoted my post it was mine that offended. I hope I am always supportive of your amazing weight loss CC and highly impressed by your bg control. My personal journey has been LC is very effective for weight loss but disappointing for bg control and anything else. As per an earlier post I was tying to highlight that many factors other than weight contribute to T2 - the popular UK view is blind to anything other than weight. Hope that helps clarify things. I enjoy reading of your and any other member's progress in losing weight and the palpable benefits to your wellness and wellbeing that brings.CC I had another read of the post that offended you...there is a lot of ambiguity in it however I think it is meaning that weight is not the only determining factor in T2 diabetes...often we are portrayed as lazy obese sloths who bring this on ourselves therefore it's somehow deserved (by those who know little about it possibly Daily Mail readers...apologies in advance to any D>Mail readers here.)..there are other factors in developing T2 such as a genetic pre-disposition... a family history...while not very subtle I don't think the post was aimed at you or anyone else here...or meant to be accusatory...it looks like a misunderstanding to me...please don't take it personally.

Its more painful when I wear my shoes, but slippers are frowned upon at workOuch john...I've broken several toes...painful and there's nothing much you can do with them!
Its more painful when I wear my shoes, but slippers are frowned upon at workso I just sit in agony (just looking for sympathy now )
Take your shoes off john...there's not much you can do for a broken toe but it's important to keep them straight & supported...the last time I did it I broke my big toe and the one next to it...they have been difficult since then...take your shoes off...they should be flexible & grateful you went into work TBH.Its more painful when I wear my shoes, but slippers are frowned upon at workso I just sit in agony (just looking for sympathy now )
I believe this issue has started a constructive debate, evident by the responses posted which hardly constitute 'miles of disagreeing posts'.if you disagree with someone then start a constructive debate or use the Private Message (PM) system to have a conversation
