What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

last night 6.3
this morning it is 6.5...

Miss Dawn had arrived before I got to my meter. I tried looking up ways to beat the dawn phenomenon but can’t find any concrete recommendations. Most suggestions seem to be about insulin timing which i am not on. I am trying to eat dinner early (7:00 pm latest), low / no carbs in dinner, short walk after dinner. Anything else which keeps the dawn phenomenon away or muted at least?

Monday here and back to the grind. I must say there are times I really want a break from corporate rat race and theatrics... but the show must go on

Happy Monday and a great week ahead everyone

good morning all

4.6 today

it's raining this morning and looks fairly widespread for the day, that will do nicely to water in the grass seed we sewed over in mum's garden where we raked flat the mole hills might even plant out a couple of things later.

sending a hug @poemagraphic

Hope your Monday treats you well

Harrison, curious about the time... is that wake up time? Or 8 hours since last meal? Or just nature waking you up and taking advantage of the walk to bathroom

I woke at 0300 with a dodgy (acid) stomach. Been about six hours without food, normally I don't eat late so it was self-inflicted.

Thank you for your hug gee.
I am feeling less bruised today.

Happy Monday team
Thank you all for your well wishes. My nose is not so sore and my eye is blacker, that said my pride is well bruised (being a Leo us lions don't take kindly to bashing ourselves)

SO... Down to business Forgot to test first thing, went in the shower had brekkies (eggy bread with bacon and 3 cherries... Mmmm! Coffee and double cream) stabbed my finger watched the blood drain up the strip and saw the screen flash up 5.8

Now today Mon 20th I start my 7th week on insulin and am off to see, for the first time, my diabetes specialist at the hospital.
I am unsure what he will think about my 30% reduction in insulin and my 50% reduction in Glicaside in 7 weeks!

I know what I think he should say.... (My daily average is 6.0) However that might differ hugely from what he actually does say.

Watch this space as 'they' say!
Have a great day Ya all
