What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Rightly or wrongly my fbg was 5.4 according to the meter. Very uninspiring but could be much worse different - no idea what level is my optimal level. Cheerybye prick and tell massive.
 
Pick a number, any number. At 3:45 am I was pacing the floor with leg cramps, and toes were curling upwards. I did wonder if this was what it was like to be ‘cocking one’s toes’. BG 7.5. At 5:20 it shot up to 9:0, but I had eaten a salty cracker to take my mind off the pain of the cramp. Cramp settled and at 7:30 BG back to 5.6.

I can only think the couple of glasses of red wine last night caused the disturbance.
 
4.9 this morning.
@Pipp hugs for the horrible leg cramps, great restraint showed with one little salty cracker. Hope it wasn’t caused by the red wine though, what a blow that’d be.
 
Good morning. Cheeky message on the meter screen - your fbg is 5,1 today - maybe baby How very dare it. Makes a guy wonder just how much to trust all this checking bg levels
