What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.5 - it's normally 5.5 - 6.1 since I cut down the carbs 3 years ago. Then it was averaging 6.8.

I'm amazed - last night our choir held a fund raising quiz night with fish/chip supper so I expected to be high. I went to bed with a reading of 8.8.
Yep the fish n chips will do it!... But a little of what you love now and then will not kill you.

FBG Fingerprick 7.3 Libre 7.6 not a true indication as had to correct multiple times overnight.

Odd one as correction would bring it down then it would jump back up again. Repeated through out the night. Definitely a grumble into several coffees kind of a day.

Another low one for me today at 4.7. Interesting as had a cup of hot chocolate late last night.
Gosh i miss hot chocolate, but does that not push up your BG with all the milk in it? I tried using cocoa, half milk and half water, and Candarel, and it pushed mine up 1.0!

1 hour after wake up and cup of tea 6.0!... Last night 4.9, but had a midnight snack of a little salami and a tiny bit of cheese.

Mine was 6 for a few years, but since lockdown it is anywhere from 8 to 11. I spoke to the nurse and she told me I shouldn't be checking my blood as they do it every year for me, then in the next breath told me that I am the best in the clinic at controlling my blood count. I did inform her that it was probably because I keep an eye on it.
They used to give me the strips on prescription but for the last five or six years I have had to buy my own. I have had my Ascu-Check mobile for a number of years and the cartridges are quite expensive.

7.4 before bed last night (meal was 10oz sirlion, a few chips, lots of cauli and peas with peppercorn sauce)

11.1 this morning

I dont understand why it goes so high - and then throughout the day I cant get it below 9 because its so high when waking, taking more tablets doesnt seem to do anything.
