What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning All 7.2 this morning which is disappointing after a virtually carb free supper (lamb steak panfried with mushrooms) so what to do? Carry on carrying on is all I can come up with. D certainly plays dirty when it wants to. Congrats to all who triumphed and hugs to the rest. Take care everyone.

@DEBBIESCOTT that sounds more like you!

After another very noisy roof slate clattering blustery night
Libre 5.8
Finger prick 5.8. Initial reading 4.8 but I didn’t trust that one - too low.

This GlucoNavii frequently has weird readings. Although the control strip says it’s ok, I have sent off for more CodeFree strips and will do tandem readings until the strips run out.

EDIT: @flonvic I am glad you did post - I often feel like that but posting keeps me right, I feel. It also makes me feel better to see that others are often experiencing similar results for similar reasons.

FBG 4.9 this morning. Wonders will never cease! Although I think it was more down to the reduced price roast chicken that I had for dinner with a shed load of broccoli.

@Welshman1952 nothing wrong with a food fantasy or three, so long as you don’t act on it! I personally dream of homemade seafood paella, which is now just a happy memory.

Disturbed sleep last night as I was too warm. Probably too many hot water bottles. Ended up getting up and watching TV for an hour or so. Went back to bed around 03:00. Measured FBG this morning, it was 6.0.

Evening @PenguinMum.

Type 2 is a very individual disorder and we're all different. In my own case, finger-pricking over some 20 years and comparing with other diabetics has shown me that type 2 doesn't necessarily affect BG readings on a meal-to-meal basis (if only it were that simple). For many of us, it's cumulative.

By far the most important factors are the foods and drinks swallowed in the 24 hours before testing, so I'd have another look at yesterday's breakfast and lunch. Many additional factors can push up FBG readings, obviously.

Morning ….

FBG Fingerprick 11.2 Libre 12.6 …

Well wasn’t that a spectacular fall from grace. Guess no hat trick for me.

Can probably be put down to a fatty pub meal and a couple of pints finally catching up with me in the wee hours of today. So I’m not completely without blame.

Libre 6.0
GlucoNavii 4.7 and 4.5. Still not sure about these readings, given the much higher Libre ones every day.
CodeFree forgot I had removed the battery before consigning it to a drawer on the arrival of the GN. Try again tomorrow.
