What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Late today
libre 5.5
Contour 5.5
They now think I have pertussis aka whooping cough, steroid inhaler is keeping blood glucose in double figure for most of the day & doesn’t seem to be improving the cough, been to circuits & burn out spin (90 minutes), housework done, time for feet up
Have a lovely weekend if you can & hugs to all in need
Winner for FBG but take a hug as well on account of yet more issues with this cough. You must be feeling really weary of it all.

FBG 5.7 at 7:30

you poor darling @DEBBIESCOTT I sympathise. Even though I was only 8 when I had whooping cough, I still remember coughing so much playing in the garden I would run in, be sick and run out again! It went on for months my mum said. Hope you recover quickly now you have a diagnosis

Hugs to all and have a good Sunday peeps x

edit: I fill up my dosit box every Thursday for the week as I never remember if I’ve taken my tablets. I even forgot to do this and only done it today. I just found I didn’t take my dapagliflozin or a Metformin yesterday so my BG of 5.7 is even more pleasing

Morning All this morning is an absolute first for me and not a good one ..9.0! The highest I have ever had in the last six years was 8.9 when I was very unwell. I am not unwell and didn’t eat this result as my meals tend to be by rotation depending on the day of the week. I am just going to be careful and not worry.
@DEBBIESCOTT its amazing it took so long for you to get that cough diagnosed and you have done so well in managing your BG and being patient. Hope it packs up very soon. Hope you all have a good Sunday.

It wasn’t an official diagnosis just what the a&e department thought it was, looking on the bright side if that’s what it is it should be gone very soo soon

FBG of 6.2 this morning. Not at all bad, considering - I had a cheeky portion of home made Christmas pudding for dinner. It was sitting there, back of the fridge, just calling to me….

So nice to see the sunshine again today, done my swim this morning so just enjoying the moment. Have a good Sunday all
