What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

FBG of 6.4 this morning.

Not sure why I'm running higher than last week, eating is much the same. My activity last few days is lower to be sure, and I'm working, so the stress is up a bit. There is a bit of a dawn phenomenon going on. Also I ran out of cider vinegar tablets, which I've been taking after my main meal. I don't know if it helps but I figured I'd give it a go. I'll get some today and re-start, see if it makes any difference.

Thank you to all those concerned about my disappearance! I am still here, but haven’t been recording my BG for a while. I caught the horrid virus (not covid) and have been more or less out of action since.

On a VERY positive note, I fought for and had an Hba1C test (4 months after my annual one) and it was down to 44 from 61 in November. Dead chuffed!

Evening @aylalake and welcome back. It's good to see you here again.
Congratulations on a much improved HbA1c result. No wonder you're pleased.

Morning all my sugars are 15.4 this morning on the Libre 2
Morning @ Jordi77. Your FBG numbers look erratic, it must be said.

Most of us on this FBG thread (and the parallel thread for Type 2s) log our numbers first thing as soon as we wake up. BG readings rise once we start to move around, but recording as we wake makes the circumstances of each result as close to identical as possible.

FBG readings taken under the same conditions provide a helpful benchmark for day to day comparison.
