Welcome back to this FBG thread @OrsonKartt. It's good to see you here again.
Logging my results here, it must be said, helps to keep me incentivised, especially when readings drift upwards due factors beyond my control like infection.
Once again, welcome.
If I go hell for leather with cardio, my bg levels increase more however today I tested after a 40 minute not to intense spin session with weights and my level was 5.3. I have decided to take it easy for a bit whilst working out as I like the 5s and 4sI agree with what you have said apart from in my case exercise in the form of walking brings my numbers down greatly . I too find the information gleaned from the sensor gives me a lot of help .
And what was in the spag bol? Tin tomatoes play havoc with my bg so we have it will just a bit of tomato puree. Seem to be okay with that. I also have corgetti with it. The berries would leave me screaming like a banshee up a hill lolMay I ask which berries you ate with your yoghurt? @ChrisT2
I am deffinately less insulin resistant after 6pmPerfectly understandable @ChrisT2. I particularly enjoy blackcurrants or wild blackberries with yoghurt; cultivated blackberries not so much.
I like to round off my lunch every once in a while with these berries. From trial and error, I suspect I'm less insulin resistant at mid-day than at breakfast first thing.
Likewise @Lainie71. In my case it depends on the intensity of the exercise undertaken. If I go hell for leather with cardio, my bg levels increase more however today I tested after a 40 minute not to intense spin session with weights and my level was 5.3. Agreed @Lainie71. I too cook with courgetti (spiralised courgettes) instead of pasta and have to go easy on the canned tomatoes, sun-dried toms and passata. Those measures enable us to enjoy all our favourite Italian recipes. And what was in the spag bol? Tin tomatoes play havoc with my bg so we have it will just a bit of tomato puree. 5.5 on Libre this morning. Last libre for a few days as waiting for my new ones to arrive so back to finger pricker results which are always significantly higher.
Berries were frozen Summer Berries from supermarket. As for spag bol it was venison meatballs with onions and tomato puree, reckon it is the spaghetti that does the damage. Shame really as I don't like pasta much anyway but spaghetti is OK once in a while but maybe not so much now. Did try soy bean spaghetti a few weeks back but taste and texture not good (like eating shredded dish cloth) so spaghetti firmly on the bad list. And what was in the spag bol? Agreed @ChrisT2. Pasta is made from Italian durum wheat. The high carbohydrate content means that no traditional wheat-based pasta can be considered a diabetic-friendly food.As for spag bol it was venison meatballs with onions and tomato puree, reckon it is the spaghetti that does the damage. .![]()
