What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.2 on the Dexcom.
I'm very new to not having Dawn phenomenon and double figure fasting readings. Long may it reign and may Dawn keep her nose out of my blood sugar!
Greetings @watergypsy. Welcome to our forum and this FBG thread. We're pleased you could join us.

It helps to focus on the many delicious foods we can safely eat and not dwell too much on those high carb 'goodies' that we really shouldn't have.

Once again, welcome.

I’m so sick…..hubby brought home the very worst cold/flu that I’ve ever had! I haven’t been sick at all for two years and this is killing me….
no food until supper, blood sugar before I ate was 7.3, yikes!
I'm hoping for sleep tonight but not counting on it, same as last night…I feel no better now than last night, that’s unusual.
I'm mad as a hornet.

7.6 this morning but just for once I know why. I still have the phrase "for goodness sake, stop being so picky and bl***y eat it!!" ringing in my ears. However the meat pie, mountain of mashed potato followed by jam sponge pudding and custard was a guilty pleasure. Later the BS reading of 12.4 mmol on Libre which would have been probably 14 on the meter I hope was a one off but just goes to show what a massive influence diet has on us.
Good luck to all those struggling keeping figures low, I feel your pain.

Guess who’s still sick…a nasty 7.8 this morning…uggg
my only food yesterday was a cup of homemade chicken bone broth, six chicken wing halves. That’s it…
Happily the Tylenol cold medication seemed to work last night and I was able to get some relief. Really am feeling a touch better this morning and even feel like I could go for a walk.
