What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

7.1 this morning and feeling pants as I have a uti Surgery has passed me off to the pharmacy and now waiting for them to phone, what they will suggest, I don't know. Not a happy bunny.
My local pharmacy was a life saver when I came back from America the other year with a really bad UTI. I didn't know how to go about seeing a GP when I was in US so just tried some over counter medication from Walmart which simply made things worse. When I got home, I went to my local chemist to see if they could help. The Pharmacist gave me 3 days of antibiotics which resolved the UTI. So grateful.

if ur uk might be worth signing up for mydiabetesmyway you can get your results pretty fast online
hugs for tooth ache and & infection hopefully clears up fast.

little soon perhaps for hba1c? thought average cells lifespan 8-12 weeks? so 3 month would be larger difference as could be skewed a little from any cells still not recycled yet. just spotted the feb then mar result pretty surprised checked so close together

libre 3.6 at 4:09am. grabbed a couple of jelly babies rather than fingerprick and went back to sleep.
libre 4.6 7:35am trying 14 units toujeo today not really hungry this morning grabbed some milky coffee for breakfast zero novarapid will see what that does.

Calling dr's shortly loads blood when went to bathroom over the last few days. Will need to chase up endoscope. I canceld the last one couple of months ago, diabetic consultant had said probably better off spend night before in hospistal so had access to loo and would reschedule for their hospital.

Just HOW exactly are you supposed to take enema and travel 2.5 hours to hospistal without tons of accidents on the way. Thats one of the disadvatages of living in a rural location. The advantages definately outweigh the disadvantages. The hospistal where was going to have the proceedure due to diabetic needs to be first on list for the day. 6am ferry would be necessary to arrive 8:30am for first proceedure of the day enema, it should be used 2 hour Prior to proceedure with no food in the morning either what to do if low sugars? :O really wish they dealt with that when was admitted to hospistal end of january that was the reason went through a&e I am glad they did get diagnosis for diabetes just think the initial reason should of been dealt with too.

FBG 5.5 this morning. I like this run of numbers but actually bloods are about the same during the day as what they usually are, so the lower starting number is not indicative of anything. Still it makes me feel better.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. You've certainly improved things since last year. Well done.
Yes. I had just looked at the numbers not the dates sorry. @grantg is right. Its usually every 3 months for bloods for the first year and then annually. Taking bloods so frequently, there will be overlap from the previous result.

I had numbers so under control until I got sick and couldn’t eat healthy foods. Broke my good habits and I stuck my head in the sand….
75 in October scared me so had to take action!

Not in uk I’ll be lucky if the GP has them back the following week?
My Feb Hba1c was for GP and he wanted them done in 3 months which is due around now
I had bloods done by a consultant in march which showed the lower Hba1c but I know that wouldn’t have been totally reliable as too soon after my Feb one

It would scare me as well. All power to you for trying to get your bloods back under control. Please keep trying, imagine how you will feel when you see that magic number you are looking for.

I'm afraid not all surgeries do online results ...mine certainly doesn't

At the same time one of my parents had a Hba1c of over 100 so I was trying to encourage him change his diet so had to practice what I was preaching…. Working for me but not for them unfortunately
